The 2021 IAAF World Indoor Tour was the sixth edition of the World Athletics Indoor Tour, the highest series of international track and field indoor meetings.

Contents

The tour expanded in 2021 with the introduction of three tiers of competition – Gold, Silver and Bronze – comprising 26 meetings in Europe and North America. [1] [2] and retains six gold standard events for 2021, five in Europe and one in the United States.

Indoor Meeting Karlsruhe, formerly known as BW-Bank Meeting and officially known as the Init Indoor Meeting Karlsruhe, is an annual indoor track and field competition which takes place in January or February in Karlsruhe, Germany. The meeting was first held at the Europahalle in 1985 and is currently a World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold-level event, the highest level of one-day indoor meeting in the World Athletics calendar. The athletics meeting is known for having strong fields in the short sprint events. The 2016 edition was part of the inaugural IAAF World Indoor Tour.

She also won bronze at the 2012 World Indoor Championships, gold at the 2013 European Indoor Championships, bronze at the 2018 European Championships, and silver at the 2019 European Indoor Championships. Hodgkinson is the 2022 and 2023 World Championships as well as the 2022 Commonwealth Games silver medallist, 2022 European champion and a two-time European indoor champion from 2021 and 2023, with her 2021 title secured as the youngest ever continental women's indoor 800 m winner.
