The Mid-Western Region was a division of Nigeria from 1963 to 1991, from 1976 being known as the Bendel state.
Gongola State is a former administrative division of Nigeria. The Ibadan Peoples Party (IPP) was established on June 15, 1951, by a group of eminent Ibadan indigenes who opposed the policies which held sway in the Yorùbá dominated Western Region, Nigeria in the 1950s. Gwandara is a West Chadic language, and the closest relative of Hausa. The Bendel Province is one of the fourteen ecclesiastical provinces of the Church of Nigeria. It comprises thirteen dioceses, each one headed by a bishop and it was created in 2002, when the current division into provinces was adopted. His headquarters are located in Asaba. The first Archbishop of the Bendel Province was Albert Agbaje, who died in 2005. He was succeeded by Nicholas Okoh, latter replaced upon his election as Primate of Nigeria by Friday John Imaekhai in 2010. In 2020 Cyril Odutemu became Archbishop of Bendel.
The Nigerian football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for association football clubs in Nigeria. It is made up of the top-most league, the Nigeria Premier League, then the Nigeria National League which is divided into two groups, followed by the Nigeria Nationwide League of 300 clubs which is divided hierarchically into the Nigeria Nationwide League Division One, the Nigeria Nationwide League Division Two and the Nigeria Nationwide League Division Three consisting competitions divided in geographical zones with the Division One and Two having 4 zones and 8 in Division Three. Promotion and relegation from Nigeria Nationwide League Division Three is done with local and state amateur leagues considered as Non-League football and is required for the promoted clubs to maintain their registration in their leagues to participate at the Division Three, remaining the originally relegated teams despite their stands on the League table if this requirement is not fulfilled.
