Kuldeep Rai Sharma (born 10 September 1967) is an Indian politician belonging to INC,who served as a member of Parliament from 2019 to 2024. He also served as President of Andaman and Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee until 2021. [1] [2] Later on,he was promoted by Congress President Sonia Gandhi as All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary incharge for Indian National Congress in Karnataka. [3]
Kuldeep Rai Sharma won the Lok Sabha election 2019 as an Indian National Congress candidate and became Member of Parliament of Andaman &Nicobar Islands constituency,defeating the BJP candidate by a nominal margin of 1,407 votes in his fourth attempt to reach the Parliament.

UNICEF awarded him with PGC Awards 2020 for his work to protect child rights. [4] He initiated 18 debates and 15 questions on matters relating to child labour,malnutrition,mid-day meal schemes,safety of children and child immunisation in the parliament during 2019–20.
The Andaman Islands are an archipelago,made up of 200 islands,in the northeastern Indian Ocean about 130 km (81 mi) southwest off the coasts of Myanmar's Ayeyarwady Region. Manoranjan Bhakta(মনোরঞ্জনভক্ত) was an Indian politician and a leader of the Indian National Congress (INC) political party. He was first elected as Member of Parliament for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in 1977 to the 6th Lok Sabha. In total,he served eight terms as Member of Parliament for this constituency,seven of which were consecutive from 1977–1999. In 2010,after being denied a ticket in an election,he left the INC and later joined the Trinamool Congress.

Andaman Law College (ALC) is a government law school in Port Blair,India. It was established in 2016 by the Andaman &Nicobar Islands Legal Education Society (ANILES) under Andaman &Nicobar Administration,and is entirely government-funded. It is run by the ANILES with Hon'ble Lt. Governor as its president,Hon'ble Chief Secretary as its Chairman and the Law Secretary as its Vice Chairman. The institute has a moderately sized interim campus in Transport Bhawan,Phoenix Bay,Port Blair.

The first case of the COVID-19 pandemic in India was reported on 30 January 2020,originating from China. Slowly,the pandemic spread to various states and union territories including the union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The first case was recorded in this region on 26 March 2020. The islands have pursued a strategy of zero COVID-19 transmission,which,except for three flareups in August 2020,May 2021,and January 2022,which were swiftly contained,have resulted in no community outbreaks. The islands have successfully managed the outbreaks,and the union territory has the lowest case count of any region of India,both in total cases and infection rate.
