Considered to be one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, Adam also won the Wrestling World Championships in 1999 and 2002. His elder brother Buvaisar Saitiev, also a wrestler, was a three-time Olympic champion and six-time World champion.

Kim is a member of the wrestling team for Samsung Life Sports Club, and is coached and trained by his brother Kim In-Sub, silver medalist in the 58 kg division at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
Shingo Matsumoto is an amateur Japanese Greco-Roman wrestler, who played for the men's light heavyweight category. He won a gold and a bronze medal for his division at the 2002 Asian Games in Busan, South Korea, and at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar.

Considered one of the world's top female wrestlers of her decade, Eriksson has yielded a remarkable tally of fourteen career medals, including two golds at the World Championships and three more at the European Championships. She also had an opportunity to compete for Sweden at the 2004 Summer Olympics, finishing tenth in the 63-kg division. Before her sporting career ended shortly after the Games, Eriksson trained as a member of the wrestling team for Örgryte Sporting Club in Gothenburg, under her personal coach and husband Pierre Dikanda.
