Shaheed Abrar Fahad Stadium, formerly known as Kushtia International Stadium, located in Kushtia, Bangladesh, is a multipurpose stadium. It was renovated by the National Sports Council of Bangladesh government in 2021. [2] The name has been changed[ citation needed ] to pay homage to Abrar Fahad, who was killed on October 6, 2019 at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) by activists of the Chhatra League, the student wing of then ruling party Awami League. [3]

It is the largest cricket stadium in Pakistan with a capacity to accommodate 34,238 spectators. The MA Aziz Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Chittagong, Bangladesh. The local cricket and football teams play there and it is sometimes used by the Bangladesh national football team. Its total capacity is 30,000. On a historical note, this stadium was used as headquarters during the war for independence in 1971. The stadium serves as the main football venue of Chittagong as main cricket venue of the port city has been shifted to the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. It is the home venue of Chittagong Abahani in Bangladesh Premier League (football). The Bangladesh women's national cricket team is the team that represents the country of Bangladesh in international women's cricket matches. They made their international debut when they played, and won, two matches against Thailand in July 2007 before participating in and winning the 2007 ACC Women's Tournament. Bangladesh were granted One-Day International (ODI) status in 2011 after finishing fifth in the 2011 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier. They subsequently qualified for the 2014 ICC Women's World Twenty20 as hosts, making their first appearance at a top-level women's international tournament. They have also won the 2018 edition of ACC Women's Asia Cup. This was the only instance in ACC Women's Asia Cup where any team other than India won the tournament. <i>The State vs. Mehedi Hasan Rasel and Others</i> 2021 murder trial in Bangladesh

The State vs. Mehedi Hasan Rasel and Others, popularly known as the Abrar Fahad murder case was a criminal case brought before the Dhaka Speedy Trial Tribunal-1 on the supervision of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh following the killing of Abrar Fahad, a student at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), on October 6, 2019. The case, initiated through a murder complaint filed by Abrar’s father, charged 25 individuals associated with the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) for their roles in the crime. The prosecution alleged that Abrar was tortured to death in his dormitory room for expressing dissenting political opinions online.
