Kuthwal is one of the 51 union councils of Abbottabad District in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. [3] It is located to the north west of Abbottabad city (the district capital).

A Union Council forms the second-tier of local government and fifth administrative division in Pakistan. Its structure and responsibilities differ between provinces and territories.

Villages

The main villages of this Union Council (UC) are Kuthwal (Well known mohallah: School Wali Gali), Bandi Mansoor (Major mohallahs: Patotay, Chandroll), Gali Banian, Chattri Balla, Danna Sharif, Maira Rehmat Khan, Mohar Kalan and Chattri Khurd. This union council is gateway to Thandiani pass. The road route passing form the area diverges to three major routes at the end, each leading to Thandiani, Kukmang to Boi and Pattan to Muzaffarabad (Azad Jammu & Kashmir). The first village en route is Gali Banian which actually consists of two villages, Gali and Banian. The main tribe is Awans with good number of Abbasi, Mughals, Syeds and Good Number of Turks(Raja). Two link roads lead from Gali, one goes to Banian and other to Danna Sharif. The village Gali is known for having the first Jamia mosque of the area, having separate madrassa for boys. Mohar Kalan Is Famous for Turk Tribe.

Thandiani Hill station in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan

Thandiani is a hill station in the Galyat area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the Province of Pakistan.Thandiani is located in the northeast of Abbottabad District and is about 37.5 kilometres (23.3 mi) from Abbottabad in the foothills of the Himalayas. To the east beyond the Kunhar River lies the snow-covered Pir Panjal mountain range of Kashmir. Visible to the north and northeast are the mountains of Kohistan and Kaghan. To the northwest are the snowy ranges of Swat and Chitral. The hills of Thandiani are about 2,750 metres (9,020 ft) above sea level. Most of the people residing here belong to the Sadaat (Syed), Awan, Mughals, Qureshi, Abbasi, Jadoon Gujjar, and Karlal tribes. The nearest villages are Bandi Sarara Mara Rehmat Khan, Inderseri, Birnagalli, Chattri, Chamaili, Sialkot, Pattan, Okharela, Dheri, Darer and Kukmang.

Jamia (جامعة) is the Arabic word for gathering. It can also refer to a mosque, or more generally, a university. In the latter sense it refers in official usage to a modern university, based on the Western model, as opposed to the medieval madrasa. Namli Mera is around 3 kilometres away Bagnotar on the main road.

Circle Bakote

Circle Bakote is a cluster of Union Councils in the eastern part of Abbottabad District in the North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan. Circle Bakote is located on the upper and west bank of the Jhelum River at Kohalla Bridge. The region is somewhere between 65 kilometres and 90 kilometres northwest of Islamabad. "Bakote" means the "land of forts". The Kanhar and Jehlum rivers are the two main rivers in Circle Bakote. Famous hill stations in the area are Miran Jani, Mukeshpuri, Thandiani, Pather Gali, Ayubia, Khanas Pur and Nathia Gali.
