Kyle Troy Heffner (born May 21, 1957) is an American television and film actor.
Born in Chicago, Heffner graduated from Northwestern University.
After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles and met Garry Marshall, who cast him in Young Doctors in Love (1982). Heffner also appeared in the films Flashdance (1983), [1] [2] [3] The Woman in Red (1984), Runaway Train (1985), Spellbinder (1988) and When Harry Met Sally... (1989). Heffner has appeared in numerous television series such as the CBS sitcom Rules of Engagement (2010), as well as television pilots, guest spots, commercials and more films. He played the role of 'shadowy government operative' in the 2014 movie Red Sky .
Heffner resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.[ citation needed ]

Kyle Merritt MacLachlan is an American actor best known for his Emmy nominated and Golden Globe winning role as Dale Cooper in Twin Peaks and its film prequel Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992). He is also known for his roles in another two of Twin Peaks co-creator David Lynch's films: Paul Atreides in Dune (1984) and Jeffrey Beaumont in Blue Velvet (1986). MacLachlan's other film roles include Lloyd Gallagher in The Hidden (1987), Ray Manzarek in The Doors (1991), Cliff Vandercave in The Flintstones (1994), Zack Carey in Showgirls (1995) and Riley's father in the Inside Out film series.
Flashdance is a 1983 American romantic drama dance film directed by Adrian Lyne and starring Jennifer Beals as a passionate young dancer, Alex Owens, who aspires to become a professional ballerina, alongside Michael Nouri, who plays her boyfriend and the owner of the steel mill where she works by day in Pittsburgh. It was the first collaboration of producers Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer, and the presentation of some sequences in the style of music videos was an influence on other 1980s films including Footloose, Purple Rain, and Top Gun, Simpson and Bruckheimer's most famous production. It was also one of Lyne's first major film releases, building on television commercials. Alex's elaborate dance sequences were shot using body doubles.
