The Hamgyong Mountains, officially known as the Gangbaekjeonggan and formerly known as the Pepi Shan or Tumen Mountains, is a North Korean mountain range. Eiectus is a potentially dubious genus of extinct short-necked pliosaur that lived in the Early Cretaceous period. Fossil material has been recovered from the Toolebuc Formation and Wallumbilla Formations (Aptian) of Queensland and New South Wales in Australia and much of this fossil material was initially classified under the related genus Kronosaurus until 2021.
