La Llorona is the debut studio album by Canadian singer Lhasa de Sela, released in 1997 in Canada and 1998 elsewhere.
Alejandro Sela, Lhasa's father, received his doctorate on literature of the Spanish conquest of Mexico and taught her of the legend of La Llorona. [1] This is the folktale of the crying woman, resembled the mythological wife of Quetzalcoatl who has lost her children. For Lhasa, La Llorona comes from the omen of conquerors. Lhasa believes that the woman cried when the Spanish arrived in America to warn her native children of the doom that the conquistadors would bring to their way of life.
According to billboard in 2003, it had sold 120,000 units in Canada (Platinium [2] ), 330,000 in France, and 30,000 in the U.S [3]

In Mexican folklore, La Llorona is a vengeful ghost who roams waterfront areas mourning her children whom she drowned.
Claude Antoine Marie François, also known by the nickname Cloclo, was a French pop singer, composer, songwriter, record producer, drummer and dancer. François co-wrote the lyrics of "Comme d'habitude", the original version of "My Way" and composed the music of "Parce que je t'aime mon enfant", the original version of "My Boy". Among his other famous songs are "Le Téléphone Pleure", "Le lundi au soleil", "Magnolias for Ever" and "Alexandrie Alexandra". He also enjoyed considerable success with French-language versions of English-language songs, including "Belles! Belles! Belles!", "Cette année là" and "Je vais à Rio".

The Singles 1992–2003 is a greatest hits album by American rock band No Doubt, released on November 14, 2003, by Interscope Records. Lhasa de Sela, also known by the mononym Lhasa, was an American-Canadian singer-songwriter who was raised in Mexico and the United States and divided her adult life between Canada and France. Her first album, La Llorona, went Platinum in Canada and brought Lhasa a Félix Award and a Juno Award.

"La Llorona" is a Mexican folk song derived from the legend of La Llorona. There are many versions of the song. Its origins are obscure, but composer Andres Henestrosa in about 1941 mentioned hearing the song in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. He popularized the song and may have added to the existing verses.
Encore un soir is a French-language studio album by Canadian singer Celine Dion, released by Sony Music Entertainment on 26 August 2016. It is her first French studio album since 2012's Sans attendre. Encore un soir features songs produced mainly by Humberto Gatica, Scott Price, Silvio Lisbonne, Zaho and Jacques Veneruso. The first single from the album, also titled "Encore un soir" was released on 24 May 2016 and topped the charts in Francophone countries. Encore un soir is Dion's first French album since 2005's On ne change pas released in the United States.
