Lakeview High School is a secondary education institution located within the Lakeview School District in Battle Creek, Michigan [11]
The name Lakeview reportedly comes from a teacher that was looking out a window of the first Lakeview school and decided that there was a "Lake view". [12]
Lakview High School offers many options of education for students. In the 2020–2021 school year students have the option to attend in-person two days per week or the Lakeview Virtual Academy. [13] Students can take select classes at the Calhoun Area Career Center, [14] Michigan Virtual High School, [15] and Math and Science courses at the Battle Creek Area Mathematics and Science Center. [16] Lakeview High School also offers 21 Advanced Placement courses. [17] Students are also allowed to take college courses, most commonly with Kellogg Community College, through dual enrollment. Theodore Roosevelt High School, also known as RHS or Roosevelt, or also Wyandotte High by alumni, is the secondary school serving Wyandotte, Michigan, located on Eureka Road several blocks west of Biddle Avenue. The corner stone of Roosevelt High School was laid in the Fall of 1921. Roosevelt did not open its doors to students until April 1923. RHS is the only public high school in the city of Wyandotte.
