Andhra Pradesh is a state in the south-eastern coastal region of India. It is the seventh-largest state by area covering an area of 162,975 km2 (62,925 sq mi) and tenth-most populous state with 49,386,799 inhabitants. It is also known as the "rice bowl of India" for being a major producer of rice in India. Its official language is Telugu; one of the classical languages of India, the fourth most spoken language in India and the 11th-most spoken language in the world.
Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, popularly known as NTR, was an Indian actor, producer, director, film editor and politician who served as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven years over three terms. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest actors of Indian cinema and one of the two legends of Telugu cinema, along with Akkineni Nageswara Rao. NTR received three National Film Awards for co-producing Thodu Dongalu (1954) and Seetharama Kalyanam (1960) under National Art Theater, Madras, and for directing Varakatnam (1970). NTR has received the erstwhile Rashtrapati Awards for his performance(s) in the Raju Peda (1954) and the Lava Kusa (1963). He garnered the Nandi Award for Best Actor for Kodalu Diddina Kapuram in 1970, and the Inaugural Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu in 1972 for Badi Panthulu.

Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu is an Indian politician and the current Vice President of India and the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, in office since 11 August 2017. Previously, he served as the Minister of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Urban Development and Information and Broadcasting in the Modi Cabinet. A prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he also served as its national president from 2002 to 2004. Earlier, he was the Union Cabinet Minister for Rural Development in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. He took the oath as Vice-President of India and the Chairman of Rajya Sabha on 11 August 2017.
Kurnool is a city and the judicial capital of Andhra Pradesh, India. It formerly served as the capital of Andhra State (1953–1956). The city is often referred to as "The Gateway of Rayalaseema". It also serves as the district headquarters of its Kurnool district. As of 2011 census, it is the fifth most populous city in the state with a population of 484,327. It is located on the banks of the Tungabhadra river. Although the area has been inhabited for thousands of years, modern Kurnool was founded in the 16th century CE with the construction of the Konda Reddy Fort.

Its headquarters is located at NTR Administrative Block of RTC House in Pandit Nehru bus station of Vijayawada. Government of Andhra Pradesh is the government for the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is an elected government with 175 MLAs elected to the Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh for a 5-year term. Government of Andhra Pradesh is a democratically elected body that governs the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. The state government is headed by the Governor of Andhra Pradesh as the nominal head of state, with a democratically elected Chief Minister as the real head of the executive. The governor who is appointed for five years appoints the Chief Minister and his Council of Ministers. The Legislative Council of Andhra Pradesh or Andhra Pradesh Śāsana Manḍali is the upper house of the legislature of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh; the lower house being the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. It is situated in the state Legislative capital of Amaravati, and has 58 members. The Vidhan Parishad has been in existence in two spells - from 1958 to 1985, and from 2007 continuing till today. A resolution has been passed by AP government for dissolution of the house which awaits parliament ratification.
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party, is an Indian regional political party based in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It was founded by Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy in 2011. Once members of the Indian National Congress, they split from that party in 2011. He was also elected as national party president by his members.
The High Court of Andhra Pradesh is the High Court of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The seat of the High Court is currently located at Amaravati. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has however decided and passed a bill in the state legislature to shift the Principle seat of High court to Kurnool and establish an additional Bench of High court at Visakhapatnam, the executive capital of Andhra Pradesh.
Amaravati is the legislative capital and the de facto seat of government of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The city is located on the banks of river Krishna in Guntur District. Built on allotted space on the southern banks of Krishna River in Guntur district selected close to the geographical center of the state.
The 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections were held in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh on 11 April 2019 for constituting the fifteenth Legislative Assembly in the state. They were held alongside the 2019 Indian general election.
