Shri Lalhming Liana,a politician from Mizo National Front party,was a Member of the Parliament of India representing Mizoram in the Rajya Sabha,the upper house of the Parliament.
He has completed his bachelor's in education at Government Aizawl College. [1]
He was first elected to Rajya Sabha in 2002 and then again re-elected in 2008 during Mizo National Front Government in Mizoram. [2] He has been involved in LTC scam and has been sentenced to 3 years imprisonment for forging air tickets to claim travel allowance. [3]
Mizoram is a state in northeast India,with Aizawl as its seat of government and capital city. The name of the state is derived from "Mizo",the endonym of the native inhabitants,and "Ram",which in the Mizo language means "land." Thus "Mizo-ram" means "land of the Mizos". Within India's northeast region,it is the southernmost landlocked state,sharing borders with three of the Seven Sister States,namely Tripura,Assam and Manipur. The state also shares a 722-kilometre (449 mi) border with the neighbouring countries of Bangladesh and Myanmar.
Ram Vilas Paswan was an Indian politician from Bihar and the Cabinet Minister of Consumer Affairs,Food and Public Distribution in the first and second Modi ministries. Paswan was also the president of the Lok Janshakti Party,nine-times Lok Sabha member and two-time Rajya Sabha MP. He started his political career as member of Samyukta Socialist Party and was elected to the Bihar Legislative Assembly in 1969. Later,Paswan joined Lok Dal upon its formation in 1974,and became its general secretary. He opposed the emergency,and was arrested during this period. The Mizo National Front is a regional political party in Mizoram,India. MNF emerged from the Mizo National Famine Front,which was formed by Pu Laldenga to protest against the inaction of the Government of India towards the famine situation in the Mizo areas of the Assam state in 1959. It staged a major uprising in 1966,followed by years of underground activities. In 1986,it signed the Mizoram Accord with the Government of India,renouncing secession and violence. The MNF then began contesting elections and has formed state government in Mizoram three times. It is currently the state's ruling party,with its president,Zoramthanga,as the Chief Minister of Mizoram.
The history of Mizoram encompasses the history of Mizoram which lies in the southernmost part of northeast India. It is a conglomerate history of several ethnic groups of Chin people who migrated from Chin State of Burma. But information of their patterns of westward migration are based on oral history and archaeological inferences,hence nothing definite can be said. The recorded history started relatively recently around the mid-19th century when the adjoining regions were occupied by the British monarchy. Following religious,political and cultural revolutions in the mid-20th century majority of the people agglomerated into a super tribe,Mizo. Hence the officially recognised settlement of the Mizos became Mizoram.
Vanlalzawma a politician from Mizoram who was a Member of the Mizoram in the 13th Lok Sabha and 14th Lok Sabha. Before he became a politician,he was the president of Central Young Mizo Association (CYMA) in 1993 at the age of 37 and served two terms. During this period CYMA had wildlife conservation as its yearly goal and Vanlalzawma received an award for CYMA from the President of India,for successful wildlife conservation in Mizoram.
Squadron Leader Rajeshwar Prasad Bidhuri,also known as Rajesh Pilot was an Indian politician,a minister in the Government of India and a former Indian Air Force officer. He belonged to the Indian National Congress party and represented the Dausa constituency in Lok Sabha. His original name was Rajesh Bidhuri. Rajesh Pilot died on 11 June 2000 in a car crash near Jaipur.

He was also elected member in the previous term during 2009-2014.

K. Vanlalvena is an Indian politician and a Member of Parliament at the Rajya Sabha from Mizoram. He belongs to the Mizo National Front backed by the National Democratic Alliance.
V L Nghaka is an academician from the Indian State of Mizoram known for his efforts for the propagation and development of the Hindi language in Mizoram. He authored the first Hind-Mizo dictionary and got it published in the year 1965. In the year 2022,Govt of India honoured V L Nghaka by conferring the Padma Shri award for his contributions to literature and education. As per his citation for Padma Shri award,"He built a cultural bridge between Hindi and Mizo language by drafting a Hindi-Mizo dictionary. As an interpreter,he was instrumental in bringing the government and Mizo people closer.”
