Kanneganti Lalithakumari (born 5 May 1971) is an Indian judge. She is currently serving as a judge of the Karnataka High Court. She is former Judge of Telangana High Court and Andhra Pradesh High Court. [1] [2]
She was born in Cheruvu Jammulapalem village. [3] After attending St.Theresa's and Nagarjuna Junior College in Hyderabad she graduated with Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanitha Mahavidyalaya Nampally Hyderabad in 1991. [3] Thereafter,she obtained Bachelor of Laws degree from Padala Rama Reddi Law college,Osmania University in 1994. [3]
she enrolled as an Advocate on 28.12.1994 in the composite Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh and commenced practice by joining the chambers of Sri M.R.K. Choudary,Sri K.Harinath and Sri O.Manohar Reddy and developed independent practice within a short span of time. Her Lordship practiced in all areas of law including Civil,Criminal,Constitutional,Taxation,Service,Non-Service,Motor Accident Claims and Matrimonial Cases. Her Lordship was the Standing Counsel for Agriculture Market Committees,English and Foreign Languages University,Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams,Endowments,Sri Venkateswara Vedic University,Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) and Sanskrit University,Tirupati.[ citation needed ] She was elevated as a Judge of Andhra Pradesh High Court on 2 May 2020. She was transferred as Judge of Telangana High Court on 15 November 2021. She was transferred as Judge of Karnataka High Court on 28 July 2023.

Telangana Lokayukta is the parliamentary ombudsman formed by the erstwhile of Andhra Pradesh under the Andhra Pradesh Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayuktas Act,83 and adapted by Telangana after getting bifurcated from Andhra Pradesh. The institution was designed to as a high level statutory functionary for the state of Telangana for addressing the public complaints against the state government officials and its administration and is independent of the governing political and public administration. The Act became Law from 1 November'83. The passage of Lokpal and Lokayukta's Act,2013 in Parliament had become law from 16 January 2014 and had mandated every state in India to appoint its Lokayukta within a year of its passing. The mission of the Institution of Lokayukta is to eradicate the evil of corruption,favouritism,abuse of position and Power among the public functionaries and improve efficiency and to create cleaner image of the top public functionaries and promote fairness and honesty.
