Running Scared (Ell & Nikki song) 2011 Ell & Nikki song

"Running Scared" is a song performed by Azerbaijani duo Ell & Nikki. It won the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 for Azerbaijan, held in Düsseldorf, Germany. The song was performed in, and qualified from, the first semi-final on 10 May. It was performed in the final on 14 May, and won with 221 points. Ell and Nikki were the first mixed-gender duo to win the contest since 1963 and the first winners from Azerbaijan.

Ell & Nikki Azerbaijani pop duo

Ell & Nikki, also known as Eldar & Nigar, are an Azerbaijani pop duo consisting of singers Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal. On 14 May 2011 they won the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 for Azerbaijan with their entry "Running Scared". It was the country's first ever win at the contest. Although Nigar Jamal represented Azerbaijan, she lives in Enfield, North London.

Farid Hasanov won the national final, Turkvision Milli Seçim Turu, on 22 November with the song "Sənsiz", earning the right to represent Azerbaijan in the contest. It was revealed at the contest that the song Hasanov would be performing would be called "Yaşa". Azerbaijan won the contest with 210 points.
