Jimmy Arthur Raye III is an American professional football executive and former player who is the senior executive advisor to the general manager for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He played in the NFL as a wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams.
Ronald Wolf is an American former professional football executive who was a general manager (GM) of the National Football League (NFL)'s Green Bay Packers. Wolf is widely credited with bringing success to a Packers franchise that had rarely won during the two decades prior to Wolf joining the organization. He also played a significant role in personnel operations with the Oakland and Los Angeles Raiders from 1963 to 1975 and again from 1978 to 1990. He joined Green Bay's front office in November 1991 from a personnel director's job with the New York Jets. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August 2015.

The league permanently moved the first week of the regular season to the weekend following Labor Day. In the wake of the September 11 attacks, the NFL's week 2 games were postponed and rescheduled to the weekend of January 6 and 7, 2002. To retain the full playoff format, all playoff games, including Super Bowl XXXVI, were rescheduled one week later. The New England Patriots won the Super Bowl, defeating the St. Louis Rams 20–17 at the Louisiana Superdome.
Albert J. Smith was an American professional football scout and executive. He served as a part-time scout for several NFL and USFL teams before joining the Buffalo Bills in 1986, serving as a scout and executive for them for 14 years. With the Bills, the team won four AFC Championships. He joined the San Diego Chargers in 2001 as a director of pro personnel, and was promoted to general manager and executive vice president for them two years later. He stayed with the Chargers until being fired following the 2012 season. Smith's son, Kyle, is the assistant general manager of the Atlanta Falcons.
Anthony Ray Lynn is an American professional football coach and former running back who is the run game coordinator and running backs coach for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL). He played running back for the Texas Tech Red Raiders and in the NFL for six seasons, primarily with the Denver Broncos where he won Super Bowl XXXII and XXXIII. Lynn entered coaching after retiring as a player in 2000, later serving as head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers from 2017 to 2020.
Martin Mayhew is an American professional football executive and former cornerback who is a senior personnel executive for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Florida State Seminoles prior to being selected by the Buffalo Bills in the 10th round of the 1988 NFL draft. Mayhew sat out his rookie season due to a wrist injury and joined the Washington Redskins a year later, with whom he won Super Bowl XXVI with, and later played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before retiring following the 1996 season.
Sheldon Darnell White is an American football executive and former player who is the director of pro scouting for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Miami Ohio. He was drafted by the New York Giants in the third round of the 1988 NFL draft and later played for the Detroit Lions and Cincinnati Bengals before retiring after the 1993 season.
Charles Kenneth "Buddy" Nix is a former American football coach and executive. He was the general manager of the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL) from 2009 to 2013. Nix was a scout for the Bills from 1993 to 2000. He joined John Butler and A. J. Smith with the San Diego Chargers from 2001 to 2008 and returned to the Bills in 2009.
Thomas George Dimitroff Jr. is an American football executive. He served as the general manager of the Atlanta Falcons from 2008 to 2020. Before joining the Falcons in 2008, Dimitroff was with the New England Patriots for six years. He joined the Patriots in 2002 as a national scout before being named director of college scouting a year later. He is the son of former football player and coach Tom Dimitroff Sr.
Bob Quinn is an American football executive who is the senior personnel and coaching executive for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the general manager of the Detroit Lions from 2016 to 2020. Quinn began his career with the New England Patriots as a player personnel assistant in 2000 and spent 16 seasons serving in various executive roles within the Patriot organization.
A general manager (GM) in American football is a team executive who is typically the head of football operations, which includes leading the scouting department and being responsible for handling free agent transactions and contract negotiations with players and coaches. Under such a model, the GM reports directly to the owner or team president. However, some team owners serve as their own GM or employ one who acts in a supporting role to the head coach. Al Davis of the Oakland Raiders was an example of an owner who also served as GM, while Bill Belichick is an example of a head coach having de facto GM responsibilities during his tenure with the New England Patriots.
Marty Hurney is an American professional football executive who is an advisor for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as an administrator for the San Diego Chargers in the 1990s before working as the general manager of the Carolina Panthers throughout much of the 2000s and 2010s. Prior to becoming a football executive, Hurney was a sportswriter for Washington, D.C.–based newspapers in the 1980s.

Wooden served the end of the 2023 season as interim general manager after the firing of Tom Telesco.
