Lance O. Omal [1] (born 30 November 1995 [2] ), known professionally as Lancey Foux, also known simply as Lancey, is a British rapper and singer from Stratford, London. [3] [4]

Early life

Lance O. Omal was born in London to parents of Ugandan descent. [3]

Career

2015–2017: Online beginnings and solo debut

Lancey Foux began his music career in 2015 by freestyling over YouTube beats from his bedroom. In the same year, he released his debut studio album Pink. [5] Two weeks later, he released a single titled "About It". [6] Later that year, he released his sophomore studio album TEEN SKUM. [7] After two years of releasing singles on SoundCloud, he released a collaborative studio album with English producer Nyge titled First Day at Nursery. [8]

2018: Too Far Alive and Pink II

By early 2018, Foux started using a different style which he utilized on his album Too Far Alive. [9] Three months later, he released Pink II, [10] [11] the sequel to his debut album, which contained a feature from British rapper Skepta on Dyed 2WICE. [12] He soon joined Skepta's SK LEVEL Europe tour. [13]

2019: Friend or Foux

Foux performed at US hip-hop festival Rolling Loud in 2019 and modelled for Jordan and A-COLD-WALL*, MISBHV, Trapstar, and Naomi Campbell's 2019 Fashion for Relief Gala. [1] He released his fifth studio album, Friend or Foux , on 6 December 2019. [14] [15]

2020

In 2020, months after releasing his project Friend or Foux, Foux cancelled his tour prematurely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Later in June, he went onto release a pair of singles addressing the Black Lives Matter movement titled TIME FOR WAR !i and RELAX !i, the former which was on the first version of his 2022 project, LIFE IN HELL . [16]

In December 2020, Lancey Foux released a single, Poison, featuring close friend Bakar. [17]

2021: First Degree and LIVE.EVIL

In January 2021, Lancey Foux released the second promotional single for his upcoming album, titled Steelo Flow. [18] One month later, Lancey Foux released another single titled DONT TALK, [19] which was the lead single for his Mixtape FIRST DEGREE. [20] [21]

In November 2021, Omal released a mixtape titled LIVE.EVIL. [22] The project received two features by American rappers Lil Yachty on the third track OUTTAMYMIND! and 24kGoldn on the last track BIG SWAG. [23]

2022: Life in Hell

In January 2022, Omal modelled for Matthew M Williams's brand 1017 ALYX 9SM in Milan, Italy. [24]

Casada Aaron Sorrell, known professionally as Sada Baby, is an American rapper and singer. He initially gained recognition in 2018 when the music video for his song "Bloxk Party" went viral, leading to him signing to Asylum Records. A prominent figure of the emerging Detroit rap scene of the mid-to-late 2010s, Sada Baby has become one of the most prolific rappers of the generation. His debut studio album Skuba Sada 2 (2020), a sequel to his 2017 debut mixtape Skuba Sada, peaked at number 125 on the US Billboard 200. Rage is a microgenre of trap music. Distinguishing features of rage include short looping stereo-widened future bass-influenced synthesizer lead hooks and basic, energetic trap rhythms. Among the pioneers of rage are rappers Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, Trippie Redd.

"Waves" is song performed by Killa Ki. The song features the notable Lancey Foux. The song was written by Killa Ki and Lancey Foux and produced by J Merlin and engineered by Fumez the Engineer. The song is a mid-tempo new wave hip hop song that uses a varied instrumentation, including keyboards and Latin percussion. The song was released in December 2019 in the United Kingdom as the sixth track on the Farda album which was Killa Ki last album before venturing into the Fashion industry studying for his master's degree.
