Eileen Chang (traditional Chinese:張愛玲;simplified Chinese:张爱玲;pinyin:Zhāng Àilíng;Wade–Giles:Chang1 Ai4-ling2；September 30,1920 –September 8,1995),also known as Chang Ai-ling or Zhang Ailing,or by her pen name Liang Jing (梁京),was a Chinese-born American essayist,novelist,and screenwriter.
Ouyang Xiu,courtesy name Yongshu,also known by his art names Zuiweng (醉翁) and Liu Yi Jushi (六一居士),was a Chinese historian,calligrapher,epigrapher,essayist,poet,and politician of the Song dynasty. He was a renowned writer among his contemporaries and is considered the central figure of the Eight Masters of the Tang and Song. He revived the Classical Prose Movement and promoted it in imperial examinations,paving the way for future masters like Su Shi and Su Zhe.

Qurratulain Hyder was an Indian Urdu novelist and short story writer,an academic,and a journalist. One of the most outstanding and influential literary names in Urdu literature,she is best known for her magnum opus,Aag Ka Darya,a novel first published in Urdu in 1959,from Lahore,Pakistan,that stretches from the fourth century BC to post partition of India.
