Laura Flessel-Colovic is a French politician and épée fencer who served as Minister of Sports from 2017 to 2018. Born in Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, she has won the most Olympic medals of any French sportswoman, with five. Laura Nicholls is a Canadian former competition swimmer who won ten international medals in freestyle events, including the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, Commonwealth Games and Pan American Games. Nicholls represented Canada at two consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1996 in Atlanta, Georgia. There she finished in 29th position in the 50-metre freestyle. Laura Gail Siering is an American former competition swimmer who represented the United States at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Quebec. She won a silver medal as a member of the second-place U.S. team in the women's 4×100-meter medley relay, together with Linda Jezek (backstroke), Camille Wright (butterfly), and Shirley Babashoff (freestyle). Siering also competed in the women's 100-meter breaststroke and 200-meter breaststroke at the 1976 Olympics, but did not advance to the finals in either event.
