LeQuint Allen Jr. (born August 5, 2004) is an American college football running back for the Syracuse Orange.
Raised in Millville, New Jersey, Allen attended high school at Millville. In Allen's junior season, he rushed for 670 yards and ten touchdowns while also talking 33 receptions for 284 yards. On defense, Allen had 84 tackles, six sacks, and three interceptions. [1] In week four of his senior season, Allen had a career performance totaling six touchdowns. [2] In 2022, Allen was named New Jersey’s Gatorade Player of the Year. [3]
Coming out of high school, Allen was rated as a three star recruit where he decided to commit to play college football for the Syracuse Orange. [4] [5]
Allen got his first career start in the 2022 Pinstripe Bowl where he rushed for 94 yards, and hauled in 11 receptions for 60 yards. [6] Allen finished his freshman season rushing for 274 yards and a touchdown on 41 carries while also hauling in 17 receptions for 117 yards and a touchdown. [7] On December 9, 2022, Allen got into a fight on the schools campus after coming to the aid of teammate Duce Chestnut; after the fight, Allen was charged with third degree assault. [8] [9] [10] As a result of the fight and charges, Allen was suspended by Syracuse for the entirety of the 2023 season. [11] [12] On June 28, 2023, Allen decided to sue the University to try and overturn his suspension. [13] [14] A few weeks later, on July 12, Allen and the Syracuse University reached an agreement that allowed Allen to rejoin the football team August 15 and return to classes for the fall semester. During the 2023 season, Allen rushed for 1,064 yards and nine touchdowns on 245 carries, while also notching 38 receptions for 210 yards and a touchdown. [17] For his performance on the 2023 season, Allen was named second team all-ACC. [18] In week one of the 2023 season, Allen rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown in a win over Wofford. [19]
In 2024 season, Allen was the starting RB and rushed for 901 rushing yards in regular season and led the ACC for total of 17 touchdowns. He was the nation's leading pass catcher among running backs, receiving 476 yards on 61 passes from quarterback Kyle McCord. [20] [21] Allen was an honorable mention on the all-ACC team at both running back and the all-purpose position. [20] He was named ACC player of the week after Syracuse's 44-41 road win over No. 25 UNLV. Allen scored four touchdowns, gained 129 all-purpose yards, and won the game on the final play in the overtime by bulldozing his way into the end zone through star UNLV linebacker Jackson Woodard. [22] [23] On January 2, 2025, Allen announced that he would be entering the draft. [24]

Leon Michael Hart is an American football coach and former player. Hart played college football as a running back at the University of Michigan, from 2004 to 2007, and holds the Michigan Wolverines career rushing record with 5,040 yards. He was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in 2008, and played three seasons in the NFL. Hart has worked as an assistant football coach at the University of Michigan, Syracuse University, Western Michigan University, Eastern Michigan University, and Indiana University Bloomington.
The Syracuse Orange football team represents Syracuse University in the sport of American football. The Orange compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Syracuse is the only Division I FBS school in New York to compete in one of the Power Four conferences.

Dalvin James Cook is an American professional football running back.He played college football for the Florida State Seminoles, earning unanimous All-American honors and finishing his career as the school's all-time leading rusher. Cook was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the second round of the 2017 NFL draft, and in six seasons with the team, he earned Pro Bowl honors four times. He is the older brother of Buffalo Bills running back James Cook.
Cam Akers is an American professional football running back for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Florida State Seminoles. Akers was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft. He spent four seasons with the team, including the 2021 season where he tore his Achilles tendon. He returned for the postseason and was a part of the Super Bowl LVI championship team. In 2023, he was traded to the Minnesota Vikings, where another Achilles injury prematurely ended his season.

The 2024 Syracuse Orange football team represented Syracuse University as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) during the 2024 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Orange played their home games at the JMA Wireless Dome. They were led by first-year head coach Fran Brown. The Orange were in their 123rd season overall and their twelfth as a member of the ACC.
