Leen Looijen (born 9 July 1947) is a Dutch football manager, who has worked in N.E.C., NAC Breda, RKC Waalwijk, FC St. Gallen (Swiss), FC Emmen, Willem II, FC Groningen and Vitesse Arnhem.
Looijen was born in Wageningen. He was head coach of N.E.C. from January to June 1974, from 1978 to 1981 and from 1987 to 1991. From 1994 to July 2007 he served at the same club but as technical director, until this function was taken over by Carlos Aalbers. Then Looijen became head of scouting for NEC. He was also the national coach of the Dutch Antillean football. This position he held until June 2008.
In January 2009 he became technical director of De Graafschap. There he was dismissed on 20 September 2011. In May 2012 his book' "From losing you learn to win" was released.
Looijen coached the national football team of Tuvalu during their three tour of the Netherlands that started on August 16, 2013. The Tuvaluan team trained almost every day in this period and played a total of 20 practice games against amateur clubs from around the country. [1] [2]
NEC Nijmegen, commonly known as NEC, is a professional Dutch association football club based in Nijmegen. The club currently competes in the Eredivisie, the top tier of Dutch football, following promotion from the 2020–21 Eerste Divisie.

The Tuvalu national football team is the international football team of Tuvalu. Football in Tuvalu is played at the club and international level. The Tuvalu national team draws players from the Tuvalu A-Division and trains at the Tuvalu Sports Ground at Funafuti. The national team competes in the Pacific Games, and is controlled by the Tuvalu Islands Football Association, which is an associate member of the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) but not a member of FIFA.
Pieter Egge Huistra is a Dutch football coach for Liga 1 club Borneo Samarinda and former winger. Huistra played for the Scottish Premier Division club Rangers from 1990 to 1995. He left there to play for Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the J. League. In 2001, he began coaching as the head coach for Jong Groningen. He was with them for four years before being named assistant coach to Aad de Mos at SBV Vitesse. He then became an assistant coach with Ajax and was named as their reserve team head coach on 24 April 2009. He then returned to Groningen, this time as the head coach of senior team, for the 2010–11 season. On 30 May 2012, he then became the head coach of the Eerste Divisie club De Graafschap. Finally, on 3 December 2014, he was appointed as the technical director of the Indonesia national team.

Association football is the most popular sport in Tuvalu. Football in Tuvalu is governed by the Tuvalu National Football Association (TNFA). The TNFA became an associate member association of the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) on 15 November 2006 with a further reinstatement on 16 March 2020. The TNFA has been wanting to become a full member of the OFC and a member of FIFA since 1987.
The Tuvalu Islands Football Association (TIFA) is the governing body of football in Tuvalu. The association is responsible for the Tuvalu national football team and the Tuvalu national futsal team. Tuvalu is not a full member and is not affiliated with FIFA. It does not compete in FIFA World Cup Qualifiers because of its non-affiliation.
