Joop Gall (born 25 December 1963) is a Dutch football manager and former player.

Playing career

Born in Hoogezand-Sappemeer, Groningen, Gall spent his entire career playing with three teams, all from the North of the Netherlands: BV Veendam, FC Groningen and SC Heerenveen. He retired in 1999 after a third spell with BV Veendam.

Coaching career

From 2001 to 2005 Gall served as assistant coach at FC Groningen. In 2005, he was appointed head coach of Eerste Divisie club BV Veendam, a position he left six years laters in 2011 to take over at Go Ahead Eagles. [1] Gall was sacked by Go Ahead Eagles in March 2012, with the club in 11th place. [2] Since July 2012 Gall is the FC Emmen manager.

In April 2018, he was announced as caretaker manager of VV Pelikaan-S until the end of the season. [3] One year later, he was once again appointed as caretaker manager, this time for SV DFS. [4]

Sportclub Veendam was a Dutch professional association football club based in Veendam, province of Groningen. Founded on 4 September 1894 as Look-Out, it became P.J. Pieter Egge Huistra is a Dutch football coach for Liga 1 club Borneo Samarinda and former winger. Huistra played for the Scottish Premier Division club Rangers from 1990 to 1995. He left there to play for Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the J. League. In 2001, he began coaching as the head coach for Jong Groningen. He was with them for four years before being named assistant coach to Aad de Mos at SBV Vitesse. He then became an assistant coach with Ajax and was named as their reserve team head coach on 24 April 2009. He then returned to Groningen, this time as the head coach of senior team, for the 2010–11 season. On 30 May 2012, he then became the head coach of the Eerste Divisie club De Graafschap. The 2011–12 Eerste Divisie, known as Jupiler League for sponsorship reasons, was the fifty-sixth season of Eerste Divisie since its establishment in 1955. It began in August 2011 with the first matches of the season and ended in June 2012 with the nacompetitie, a promotion-and-relegation tournament also involving the 16th- and 17th-placed teams from the 2011–12 Eredivisie. The competition was won by FC Zwolle on 13 April 2012, after drawing FC Eindhoven 0–0 at home in their 32nd match of the season.

The 2012–13 Eerste Divisie, known as Jupiler League for sponsorship reasons, was the fifty-seventh season of Eerste Divisie since its establishment in 1955. It began on 10 August 2012 with the first matches of the season and ended on 26 May 2013 with the returns of the finals of the promotion/relegation play-offs, also involving the 16th- and 17th-placed teams from the 2012–13 Eredivisie. On 3 May 2013, during the last round of the regular season, SC Cambuur secured the championship and the only direct promotion berth. Go Ahead Eagles won promotion to the Eredivisie in the play-offs.
