Leif Andersson (born 26 April 1961) is a Swedish former biathlete. At the 1992 Olympics in Albertville, Andersson won a bronze medal in the 4 x 7.5 km relay along with his teammates Mikael Löfgren, Tord Wiksten, and Ulf Johansson. [1] His best individual Olympic placing was eighth, at the 1984 Olympics in Sarajevo.

She was the dominating female biathlete from 1997 to 2002, when she retired, winning the Biathlon World Cup for six years straight. The first time women's biathlon was contested at the Winter Olympics in Albertville in 1992, Petcherskia won a silver medal in the women's 15 km individual for the Unified Team. In the 1990/91 season she won the overall world cup. In 1990 she became world champion in the 15 km. During her career she won a total of 7 gold medals at World Championships, together with 3 silver medals and 1 bronze.

He began competing internationally in World Cup competitions in 2001, but did not win his first international race until the 2007–2008 season. In 2007, he won gold in the mixed relay event at the Biathlon World Championships. The next year, at his third Winter Olympics appearance, he won the gold medal in the pursuit event. He started the event in 8th place as determined by the previous sprint event, but managed to overtake the race leader on the final lap.

He is only the seventh athlete from any country to have competed at six Winter Games and is one of fewer than fifty athletes to have competed in at least six Olympic Games.
