American music artist Marvin Gaye released 25 studio albums, four live albums, one soundtrack album, 24 compilation albums, and 83 singles. In 1961 Gaye signed a recording contract with Tamla Records, owned by Motown. The first release under the label was The Soulful Moods of Marvin Gaye. Gaye's first album to chart was a duet album with Mary Wells titled Together, peaking at number forty-two on the Billboard pop album chart. His 1965 album, Moods of Marvin Gaye, became his first album to reach the top ten of the R&B album charts and spawned four hit singles. Gaye recorded more than thirty hit singles for Motown throughout the 1960s, becoming established as "the Prince of Motown". Gaye topped the charts in 1968 with his rendition of "I Heard It Through the Grapevine", while his 1969 album, M.P.G., became his first number one R&B album. Gaye's landmark album, 1971's What's Going On became the first album by a solo artist to launch three top ten singles, including the title track. His 1973 single, "Let's Get It On", topped the charts while its subsequent album reached number two on the charts becoming his most successful Motown album to date. In 1982, after 21 years with Motown, Gaye signed with Columbia Records and issued Midnight Love, which included his most successful single to date, "Sexual Healing". Since his death in 1984, four albums have been released posthumously, along with re-issues of some of Gaye's landmark works.

The American comedy music troupe The Lonely Island has released three studio albums, two soundtrack albums, twenty-four singles and thirty-six music videos. Group members Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone began creating live skits, comedy shorts and music parodies together in the early 2000s, having met the previous decade, during their high school years. The Lonely Island later caught the attention of television producer Lorne Michaels, who was impressed by their material. Michaels subsequently hired Samberg, Schaffer and Taccone as cast members and writers for his live sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live. "Give Me the Night" is a song recorded by American jazz and R&B musician George Benson, which he released from his 1980 studio album of the same title. It was written by Heatwave's keyboard player Rod Temperton and produced by Quincy Jones. Patti Austin provides the backing and scat vocals that are heard throughout, and one of Benson's fellow jazz guitarists, Lee Ritenour, also performs on the track.

Pokora in the song "They Talk Shit About Me", as Verse. Sinclair later changed her stage name to Natalia Cappuccini and released the extended play Wommanequin independently.

The English rock band Beady Eye released two studio albums, one extended play, eleven singles and ten music videos. Formed in 2009, as one of two bands formed following the split of Oasis in 2009. The other is Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. The band consists of vocalist Liam Gallagher, guitarists Gem Archer and Andy Bell, bassist Jay Mehler and drummer Chris Sharrock – with the exception of Mehler, all had previously been involved with the English rock band Oasis.

Originally known as 21 Demands, the band made chart history in March 2007, when their debut single "Give Me a Minute" topped the Irish Singles Chart, becoming the first independently released track to achieve the feat. In June 2013 Kodaline released their debut studio album In a Perfect World, peaking at number 1 on the Irish Albums Chart. "High Hopes" was released as the lead single from the album in March 2013, peaking at number one on the Irish Singles Chart. "Love Like This" was released as the second single from the album in May 2013, peaking at number eight on the Irish Singles Chart. Their second studio album Coming Up for Air reached number one on the Irish Albums Chart. Their third studio album Politics of Living reached the number one on the Irish Albums Chart. Their fourth studio album One Day at a Time reached number two on the Irish Albums Chart.

English drum and bass duo Sigma have released three studio albums, nine extended plays and 37 singles. The duo signed to 3 Beat Records in the summer of 2013. They released their debut single "Summer Calling" with 3Beat featuring vocals from Taylor Fowlis. Their second single "Rudeboy" featuring Doctor was released in December 2013. The song peaked at number 56 on the UK Singles Chart.

British band Years & Years has released three studio albums, two extended plays, twenty six singles, and nineteen music videos. Until 2021, Years & Years was a three-member band with Alexander as the lead vocalist, and their releases under the Years & Years name until that point were released by the band rather than by Alexander as a solo act. After Emre Turkmen and Mikey Goldsworthy left the band, Years & Years became Alexander's solo project, and all releases under that name from the 2021 single "Starstruck" onwards were solo releases.
