Dragon Ash is a Japanese rap rock group founded in 1996 by Kenji "KJ" Furuya and Sakurai Makoto. They were one of the first groups to popularize hip hop in Japan. Dragon Ash is a member of Mob Squad, which is an affiliation with the bands Source and Endive. Dragon Ash uses the French fleur-de-lis as their band logo/symbol.

Uverworld is a Japanese rock band consisting of six members and originating from Kusatsu, Shiga. "Uverworld" is a term coined by the band members, combining the German word "über" with the English word "world" to form a phrase that means "crossing above the world". They have released nine studio albums and over twenty singles and have sold over three million records worldwide. The band's musical style was influenced by 1960s rock bands like The Beatles, The Zombies, and The Beach Boys, and later influenced by The Cookies, The Kinks, and The Cramps. Vocalist Takuya cited Frank Sinatra, Queen, David Bowie, Weezer, Green Day, and later My Chemical Romance as influences for the band.

Two versions were offered, included a version with an alternative cover, stickers, and DVD. "Pray" was used as the first opening for the Gintama anime series. "Pray" peaked at #10 on the Oricon singles chart.
Gin Tama is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hideaki Sorachi. Set in Edo, which has been conquered by aliens named Amanto, the plot follows life from the point of view of samurai Gintoki Sakata, who works as a freelancer alongside his friends Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura in order to pay the monthly rent. Sorachi added the science fiction setting to develop characters to his liking after his editor suggested doing a historical series. It was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from December 2003 to September 2018, later in Jump GIGA from December 2018 to February 2019, and finished on the Gin Tama app in June 2019.

Go to the Top is the debut album by Japanese singer-songwriter Hitomi, released on September 27, 1995 by Avex Trax. The first press edition of the album came with the CD case housed inside a hardback case, similar to a book. The inside of the back of the case contains a mini-photobook. The RIAJ has certified it 2x platinum, recognizing over 500,000+ shipments throughout Japan. On the Oricon charts, the album's peak position was #3, and it stayed on the charts for eight weeks.
DOES is a three-piece Japanese rock band. DOES was formed in 2000 in the Fukuoka prefecture, where they continued to write songs and perform gigs until 2005. In 2005, some members left and the group went on hiatus. Releasing songs since 2004, DOES signed with Ki/oon Records in 2006. In 2008, their 6th single “Donten” reached 3rd on the Oricon weekly music ranking charts. It was also the 5th opening for the anime Gintama.
Guardians 4 was a Japanese idol project group formed by Up-Front Promotion in 2009 and associated with Hello! Project. The group was created to perform music for the Shugo Chara! anime series. The members consist of Aika Mitsui from Morning Musume, Yurina Kumai and Risako Sugaya from Berryz Kobo, and Saki Nakajima from Cute.
"Kaze no Gotoku" is Japanese-American recording artist Joe Inoue's fifth single, and the second from his album Dos Angeles. The song was used for the opening theme of a season of the reruns of the anime Gin Tama known as Yorinuki Gin Tama-san. "Kaze no Gotoku" remained on the Oricon Weekly Singles Charts for three weeks, peaking at 33. A variation of the song was included on Dos Angeles subtitled the "B.B.B. ver.", "B.B.B." standing for the nonsense phrase "Buri Buri Bass".

The episodes from the anime television series Gintama': Enchōsen are based on the Gin Tama manga by Hideaki Sorachi. The series premiered in TV Tokyo on October 4, 2012. It is a continuation of the second Gintama' anime that ended in March 2012. The main staff from the second TV series remain in Gintama with Yoichi Fujita as the director. The series continues the story of eccentric samurai, Gintoki Sakata, his apprentice, Shinpachi Shimura, and a teenage alien girl named Kagura and their work as freelancers, who do odd jobs in order to pay the rent, which usually goes unpaid anyway. The episodes were collected in a total of four DVDs from December 19, 2012 to May 22, 2013.
Gintama: The Movie: The Final Chapter: Be Forever Yorozuya is a 2013 Japanese animated film produced by Sunrise based on the Gintama manga and anime series. It was directed by the director from the anime series Yoichi Fujita and based on a story by Hideaki Sorachi, Gin Tama's original author. It stars Tomokazu Sugita, Daisuke Sakaguchi, Rie Kugimiya among others. The film focuses on the freelancer samurai Gintoki Sakata in a time travelling story where he encounters older personas of the people he met in Edo.

One single was released for the opening and closing theme of the anime, and eight singles of image songs were released for the main cast members. Most of the releases charted on the Japanese Oricon charts, with the highest ranking album being Tribute to Azumanga Daioh at 68th, and the highest ranking single being Soramimi no Cake/Raspberry Heaven, the opening and closing themes, at 36th.

The song was written by Kotake Masato, composed by Lisa Desmond, Erik Lidbom and Maria Marcus, and produced by Exile's Hiro. It is the final single to feature Dream member Erie Abe, whom left the band on December 31 that same year.
