Chien-Kwan Lin (born 1972 in Singapore) is a classical saxophonist and teacher.
Since 2002, Lin has served as Associate Professor of Saxophone at the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. [1]
Lin worked for several years as a jazz violinist, and appeared as an orchestral violinist with groups in the northeastern United States, including the New Hampshire Symphony Orchestra, the Indian Hill Symphony Orchestra, and the Hanover Chamber Orchestra.
Lin has appeared as a saxophone soloist and guest artist with the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Eastman Wind Ensemble, New England Conservatory Symphony, United States Navy Band, U.S. Army Band, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Tanglewood Music Center Festival Orchestra, New World Symphony Orchestra, Portland Symphony Orchestra, and the Eastman Philharmonia.
Lin has given recitals at the 28th Navy Band International Saxophone Symposium; the 13th World Saxophone Congress; Taiwan's Emerging Artists Series; and Eastman's Faculty Artist Series. He has also performed with the Eastman Virtuosi, the Fromm Players of Harvard University, the Formosa Chamber Music Society, and as a guest at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory.
In 2001 he presented the world premiere of Michael Colgrass's "Dream Dancer" (concerto for saxophone and band) at the Virginia Arts Festival with the United States Continental Army Band. [ citation needed ]

Chien-Kwan Lin holds a D.M.A. and Performer's Certificate from the Eastman School of Music, and received his B.M. and M.M. degrees, both with top honors, from the New England Conservatory of Music. He won the New England Conservatory Concerto Competition twice, and received the George W. Chadwick medal, bestowed each year by the Conservatory upon its most outstanding graduate.
Mr. Lin's teachers have included Kenneth Radnofsky and Ray Ricker. He resides in Rochester, New York with his wife, pianist Pi-Lin Ni.

The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) is an American orchestra based in the city of Rochester, New York. Its primary concert venue is the Eastman Theatre at the Eastman School of Music.
Leonidas Kavakos is a Greek violinist and conductor. As a violinist, he has won prizes at several international violin competitions, including the Sibelius, Paganini, Naumburg, and Indianapolis competitions. He has also recorded for record labels such as Sony/BMG and BIS. As a conductor, he was an artistic director of the Camerata Salzburg and has been a guest conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra and Boston Symphony Orchestra.
Emory Brace Remington (1892–1971) was a trombonist and music teacher. His unique method made him one of the most well-known and influential trombone educators in history. He was a member of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra from 1923 to 1949, and on the faculty of the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY from 1922 until his death in 1971.

Sarasota Music Festival is an American classical music festival held annually during the month of June in Sarasota, Florida, under the sponsorship of the Sarasota Orchestra. Levin became the festival's director.

William (Bill) Barbini is an American violinist. He took his diploma from Juilliard School in 1970, studying with Ivan Galamian among others. He thereafter became one of the youngest members selected to the New York Philharmonic violin section. During his tenure with the NY Philharmonic, Barbini also performed as principal violinist with the Gramercy String Quartet. With Barbini as principal, the Gramercy was commissioned by Pierre Boulez for a number of pre-concert performances at Avery Fisher Hall. While in New York, Barbini also served as concertmaster for the Joffrey Ballet and soloist with the Festival Orchestra at the Norwalk Performing Arts Festival.
The Solati Trio is a Rhode Island based classical music ensemble. The trio—Ludmilla Lifson (piano), Sophia Herman (violin), and Hrant Tatian (cello)—was formed in 1984 and has premiered many works by contemporary composers which were written for and dedicated to the ensemble.
