The national final took place over eight weeks and involved 49 competing entries. The results of each show were determined entirely by a public vote. In the final, twenty entries remained and "Little by Little" performed by Laura and the Lovers was selected as the winner with 5,465 votes.

In the final, eleven artists and songs remained and the winner was selected over two rounds of public voting. In the first round, the top three were selected to qualify to the superfinal. In the superfinal, "Love or Leave" performed by 4Fun was selected as the winner with 23,888 votes.

Alanas Chošnau is a Lithuanian singer and songwriter. From 1992–2001 and 2014–2018, he was the frontman of the band Naktinės Personos. From 2001 and 2009 and since 2019, Chošnau successfully developed a solo career. He won the 'Best Performer of the Year', 'Best Song', 'Best Video', 'Golden Disc' in the Lithuanian National Radio Awards. Chošnau is continuously named as one of the most played and most performing artists of Lithuania.

Tatjana Mihhailova-Saar, better known as Tanja or Tanja Mihhailova is a Russian-Estonian pop singer and actress. She was born in Kaliningrad, Russia, and has lived in Estonia from a very young age. Tanja has been a member of several bands in her professional career and has performed in several stage musicals. She represented Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Amazing" and finished in 12th place in the semi-final, failing to qualify.
