Of Sicilian origin, Esteriore grew up in Aesch, Basel-Landschaft and learned playing the drums when he was six. He studied hairdressing and was trained in the profession. He also pursued music simultaneously.
He auditioned for season 9 of the German Big Brother in Cologne on the episode broadcast on 16 March 2009, but left voluntarily the following week. Then in 2011, he appeared in casting for Das Supertalent . He also played the role of Gary Colman in the German adaptation of Avenue Q on the Théâtre de Saint-Gall.
In 2004, he auditioned for the inaugural series of reality television competition MusicStar on SF Schweizer Fernsehen where he finished third. Representing Switzerland in the semi-finals of Eurovision 2004, he received zero points from all 32 voting nations and failed to advance to the final.
However his debut album 1 Secondo reached #3 on the Swiss Hitparade, the official albums chart in January 2005. His single "Mammamia" placed 10th on the Swiss Singles Chart.
The follow-up album Io vivo in 2007 peaked only at #34 and stayed only 2 weeks in the Swiss Albums chart. Esteriore toured for a number of years with singer Andreas Gabalier in Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
His third album Mondo was released in 2012 and on 8 May 2016, he released the album Zwei2due with a mixture of Swiss-Germann and Italian songs.

Maximilian Nepomuk Mutzke is a German singer, songwriter and television personality. He gained public interest in early 2004 when he won SSDSGPS, a talent contest hosted in Stefan Raab's late-night show TV total. Mutzke subsequently qualified for and won the national pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2004, Germany 12 Points!, and thus represented Germany with his debut single "Can't Wait Until Tonight" that year, eventually finishing eighth in a field of 24 participants. Meanwhile, "Can't Wait Until Tonight" debuted atop the German singles chart and became a top five hit in Austria and Switzerland. His eponymous debut album, a mixture of soul and pop songs in German and English language, was released in January 2005 and also reached number one in Germany, where it was certified gold by the Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI).
Vanilla Ninja is an Estonian all-female rock band which enjoyed chart success in a number of countries across Europe, especially in Estonia, Germany and Austria.
In 2005, Swiss music began to chart climb significantly. Audiences saw many chart debuts from both Swiss and international acts and saw two novelty songs share a combined total of over ten weeks at the singles chart number one spot. Internationally, the Swiss also saw Vanilla Ninja take the country to their best Eurovision Song Contest position in twelve years.

The song was performed by the band Vanilla Ninja, which was internally selected by the Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR idée suisse in November 2004 to represent the nation at the 2005 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine. "Cool Vibes" was presented to the public as the Swiss song during the show Congratulations - 50 Jahre Eurovision Song Contest on 5 March 2005.

The Swiss entry for the 2004 contest in Istanbul, Turkey was selected through the national final Eurosong 2004, organised by the broadcasters part of SRG SSR idée suisse. The Swiss-German/Romansh broadcaster Schweizer Fernsehen der deutschen und rätoromanischen Schweiz, the Swiss-French broadcaster Télévision Suisse Romande (TSR) and the Swiss-Italian broadcaster Televisione svizzera di lingua italiana (TSI) each conducted varying selections and a total of twelve entries were selected to advance to the televised national final—four artists and songs from each selection. The twelve finalists performed during the national final on 6 March 2004 where two rounds of regional televoting ultimately selected "Celebrate" performed by Piero Esteriore and the MusicStars as the winner.

SunStroke Project is a Moldovan musical group composed of Sergei Yalovitsky, Sergey Stepanov (saxophonist), and previously Anton Ragoza until his departure in 2019. They achieved recognition after representing Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 alongside Olia Tira with the song "Run Away", and again in the 2017 contest with "Hey Mamma", finishing in third place in the latter. The name of the group was chosen by Ragoza whilst working in the army with Stepanov, after he had an incident in which he was affected by heat stroke whilst on a field exercise.

He was the first non-German to do so and also the youngest ever winner of the show. Hänni's debut single, "Don't Think About Me", topped the singles charts in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. Laurent Amir Khlifa Khedider Haddad, better known as Amir Haddad or simply as Amir, is a French-Israeli singer and songwriter. He took part in 2006 in the Israeli music competition Kokhav Nolad, released his album Vayehi in 2011 and was a finalist in French competition The Voice: la plus belle voix as part of Team Jenifer finishing third in the competition. He represented France in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "J'ai cherché", which finished in sixth place.
Sebastiano Paù-Lessi, better known by his stage name, Sebalter is a Swiss singer, fiddler, and attorney who represented his country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark. He performed the song "Hunter of Stars" in the final on 10 May 2014, finishing 13th with 64 points. Sebalter was born in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino. Prior to Eurovision he worked as a business lawyer, putting his law career on hold to focus on his music career.

"She Got Me" is a song recorded by Swiss singer Luca Hänni. It was written by Hänni, Laurell Barker, Frazer Mac, Jenson Vaughan, Jon Hällgren, and Lukas Hällgren, while production was helmed by the latter two. It was released for digital download as a single on 8 March 2019. "She Got Me" represented Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv. It was performed during the second semi-final, where it qualified for the final. It finished in fourth place with 364 points, though this became Hänni's internationally successful song.
