Linda Staudt (born August 29, 1958 in Windsor, Ontario) is a retired female long-distance runner from Canada. She won the 1981 edition of the Tokyo International Women's Marathon, clocking a total time of 2:34:28.
She is now serving as the Director for the London District Catholic School Board.

Tegla Chepkite Loroupe is a Kenyan long-distance track and road runner. She is also a global spokeswoman for peace, women's rights and education. Loroupe holds the world records for 25 and 30 kilometres and previously held the world marathon record. She was the first African woman to hold the marathon World Record, which she held from 19 April 1998 until 30 September 2001. She is the three-time World Half-Marathon champion. Loroupe was also the first woman from Africa to win the New York City Marathon, which she has won twice. She has won marathons in London, Rotterdam, Hong Kong, Berlin and Rome.
A half marathon is a road running event of 21.0975 km —half the distance of a marathon. It is common for a half marathon event to be held concurrently with a marathon or a 5K race, using almost the same course with a late start, an early finish or shortcuts. If finisher medals are awarded, the medal or ribbon may differ from those for the full marathon. The half marathon is also known as a 21K, 21.1K or 13.1 miles, although these values are rounded and not formally correct.
Ingrid Kristiansen is a Norwegian former athlete. She was one of the best female long distance runners during the 1980s. She is a former world record holder in the 5000 metres, 10,000 metres and the marathon and was a World Champion on the track, roads and cross-country. Kristiansen was the first athlete to win World titles on all three surfaces. At the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, she finished fourth in the first women's Olympic marathon. At the 1988 Seoul Olympics, she dropped out of the 10,000 metres final while leading. Early in her career, she was also an elite cross country skier, winning several Norwegian titles and a European junior championship.
Katrin Dörre-Heinig is a former athlete from Germany, who competed mainly in the marathon. She won extensively on the road running circuit, having taken titles at races including the Tokyo Marathon, Berlin Marathon and the London Marathon; she won three times consecutively in London from 1992–1994.
Sammy Lelei is a former long-distance runner from Kenya, who won the 1995 Berlin Marathon with a career best time of 2:07:02 hours. It was the fastest marathon time in 1995. This time stood as the Kenyan record for the event until 1998, when it was beaten by Ondoro Osoro.

William ("Willy") Vanhuylenbroek is a long-distance runner from Belgium, who won the 1986 edition of Amsterdam Marathon, clocking 2:14:46 on 11 May 1986. He had finished second the year before. He finished in 16th place at the 1990 European Championships in Split. He represented his national team at the 1981, 1986, 1987 and 1989 IAAF World Cross Country Championships.
Kjell-Erik Bertil Ståhl is a retired long-distance runner from Sweden. He represented his native country twice at the Summer Olympics in the men's marathon, finishing in 19th place in Moscow. Ståhl twice won the Stockholm Marathon. He holds the Swedish marathon record with 2:10:38 set in 1983.
Joyce Esther SmithMBE is a British former long-distance runner. She broke the world record in the 3000 metres in 1971 and is a three-time medallist at the International/World Cross Country Championships, including winning in 1972. She went on to twice win the London Marathon, becoming the first British woman in history to run under 2:30 when winning in 1981 with 2:29:57, before further improving the British record to 2:29:43 when winning in 1982. She also competed in the 1500 metres at the 1972 Munich Olympics and finished 11th in the marathon at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, aged 46.
Paavo Edvard Kotila was a Finnish long-distance runner, Olympian, and three-time national champion in the marathon.
Violet Stewart Louisa Piercy was an English long-distance runner who is recognized by the International Association of Athletics Federations as having set the first women's world best in the marathon on 3 October 1926 with a time of 3:40:22. Piercy was reported to have run unofficially and her mark was set on the Polytechnic Marathon course between Windsor and London.
Beatrice Omwanza is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in marathon and half marathon races. She represented Kenya in the marathon at the World Championships in Athletics in 2003 and 2005. Her personal best for the event is 2:27:19 hours.
Martha "Marty" Cooksey is an American former long-distance runner who competed in events ranging from 5000 meters to the marathon. She achieved her marathon best time of 2:35:42 hours at the American Olympic Trials in 1984.
Mieke Pullen née Hombergen was a Dutch long-distance runner who competed mainly in marathon races. She ran thirty races over the distance in her career, winning races in Eindhoven, Amsterdam, Enschede and Singapore. She was a four-time Dutch champion over the distance. She was killed in a traffic accident while training in Haaren, aged 45.
Meriem Wangari Kiprugut is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specialises in half marathon and 10K road races. Her personal best for the half marathon distance is 1:10:27 hours, set in Lille in 2007. She made her marathon debut in 2012 and set a time of 2:31:30 hours on her first attempt.
Nelly Aerts is a Belgian former long-distance runner who competed in the marathon. She represented Belgium at the 1990 European Athletics Championships and won marathons in Rotterdam and Brussels. Her personal bests of 1:11:32 for the half marathon and 2:33:33 hours for the marathon are former national records.
Kirk Pfeffer is a retired American long-distance runner, who competed in marathons. He won the Enschede Marathon in 1979 and America's Finest City Half Marathon in 1981. On December 7, 1979 he set a new world record in the half marathon at 1:02:32 in Las Vegas. Next year he ran his best marathon time of 2:10:29 in Fukuoka, which placed him tenth in the World Marathon Rankings for 1980.
Maria Pia D'Orlando is an Italian former long-distance runner who competed in the marathon. She was the first female Italian national champion in the marathon. Her personal best of 2:46:13 hours for that event was previously masters world record in the over-45 age category.
