Alevtina Pavlovna Kolchina was a Soviet cross-country skier who competed during the 1950s and 1960s for Burevestnik and later for Dynamo sports societies. She competed in four Winter Olympics, earning a total of five medals. Kolchina also competed several times at the Holmenkollen ski festival, winning three times at 10 km (1961–1963) and once at 5 km (1966).
Veli Selim Saarinen was a Finnish cross-country skier who competed in the 1928 and 1932 Olympics.
Pål Gunnar Mikkelsplass is a former Norwegian cross-country skier who competed from 1981 to 1997. He won the 15 km silver at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary.
Per-Erik Hedlund was a Swedish cross-country skier. He competed in the 18 and 50 km events at the 1924 and 1928 Olympics and won the gold medal over 50 km in 1928, more than 13 minutes ahead of fellow Swede Gustaf Jonsson. While competing, he wore a show-white outfit, which was later considered as lucky, and was worn by Swedish Nordic skiers at every Winter Olympics for the next 48 years.
Gert-Dietmar Klause is a former East German cross-country skier who competed at three Olympic Games from 1968 to 1976. He won a silver medal in the 50 km at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck.
Ål Mats Arne Larsson is a Swedish cross-country skier who has raced since 1999. He won a bronze medal in the 4 × 10 km relay and finished 20th in the 15 km event at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin.
Maria Ivanovna Gusakova was a Russian cross-country skier who competed from the late 1950s to the early 1960s for VSS Spartak. She won a complete set of Winter Olympic medals as part of the Soviet team with a gold in the 10 km (1960), a silver in the 3 × 5 km relay (1960), and a bronze in the 10 km (1964). Gusakova also earned a complete set of medals at the 1962 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships with a gold in the 3 × 5 km relay, a silver in the 10 km, and a bronze in the 5 km. Her husband Nikolay Gusakov also competed at the 1960 Winter Olympics and claimed bronze in Nordic combined event.
Juho "Jussi" Kurikkala was a Finnish cross-country skier who competed in the 1930s. He was born in Kalajoki, and won three medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships with a silver in the 4 × 10 km relay in 1937, a gold in the same event in 1938, and a gold in the 18 km in 1939. He was also a long-distance runner and competed in the marathon at the 1948 Summer Olympics.
Alois Stadlober is an Austrian former cross-country skier who competed from 1988 to 2000. He earned two medals at the 1999 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships with a gold in the 4 x 10 km relay and a silver in the 10 km.
