Line Haugsted (born 11 November 1994) is a Danish professional handball player for Team Esbjerg and the Danish national team. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Haugsted started playing handball at the age of 10 at Skive fH. In 2010 she switched to FC Midtjylland Håndbold, where she played for two years before returning to Skive fH. In 2012 she won the Danish youth League with FC Midtjyllands U-18 team. After three seasons where she broke through to the first team at Skive fH, she signed a three-year contract with Odense HC. [5] She would end up playing only one season at Odense, but in that season she was the club top scorer with 57. After a season at Odense she transferred to Viborg HK. [6] [7] Here she won her first senior medals, when the club won silver in the 2020–21 Damehåndboldligaen. [8] On 30 January 2022, it was announced that Haugsted had signed a 2-year contract with Hungarian top club Győri ETO KC. [9] Here she won the Hungarian league title in her first year. After a little more than a year, she returned to Danish handball to join Team Esbjerg. [10]
She made her debut on the Danish national team on 28 November 2014, against Norway. [11] She participated at the 2016 European Women's Handball Championship in Sweden. [12]
Ikast Håndbold is a Danish professional women's handball club based in Ikast. They have competed in Damehåndboldligaen, Denmark's primary handball league, since 1991.
The Kvindeligaen is the top professional league for Danish women's handball clubs. It is administered by the Danish Handball Federation, and the winners are recognized as Danish champions. The league was previously called Bambusa Kvindeligaen for sponsorship reasons. It has previously been known as HTH GO Ligaen, Primo Tours Ligaen, Boxer Dameligaen, TOMS Ligaen and GuldBageren Ligaen. The current title holder is Team Esbjerg (2023). The European Handball Federation (EHF) ranks the Danish league 4th in the coefficients of leagues based on performances in European competitions over the past seasons.
Gitte Aaen is a Danish former handballer. She won the Champions League with Viborg in 2009
Johanna Maria Helène Ahlm is a Swedish former handball player. She started and ended her career at the Swedish club IK Sävehof, but other than those tenures she played her entire career in the Danish handball league. She also played for the Sweden women's national handball team. She competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where Sweden placed 8th, and the 2012 Summer Olympics, where Sweden placed 11th. Ahlm was listed among the top ten goalscorers at the 2008 Olympics tournament with 40 goals.
Odense Håndbold is a Danish professional women's handball team, that plays in Damehåndboldligaen, Denmark's premier women's handball league. It was created in August 2009 and took over GOG Svendborg TGI's license for the league, which was published in a press meeting August 27, 2009 in Odense Idrætshal. They changed their name to Odense Håndbold before the beginning of the 2016/2017 season.
