Linos Ngompek is a Ugandan politician and currently member of Parliament for Kibanda North County in Kiryandong District. [1] [2] [3]
He served as RDC [4] before becoming a member of Parliament after defeating Taban Amin the grandson of former Uganda president Idi Amin Dada. [5]
In the eleventh parliament,she serves on the Committee on Gender,Labour and Social Development. [6]
Uganda,officially the Republic of Uganda,is a landlocked country in East Africa. The forests of Uganda were gradually cleared for agriculture by people who probably spoke Central Sudanic languages. The Empire of Kitara grew out of the Urewe culture in the 10th century. Following the migration and invasion of Luo peoples c. 15th century,Kitara would collapse,and from the ashes rose various Biito kingdoms such as Bunyoro alongside Buganda.
Idi Amin Dada Oumee was a Ugandan military officer and politician who served as the third president of Uganda from 1971 to 1979. He ruled as a military dictator and is considered one of the most brutal despots in modern world history.

In the cabinet reshuffle of 27 May 2011,he was dropped from the cabinet and replaced by Stephen Mallinga. He was also the elected member of parliament representing Igara County West,Bushenyi District,from 1996 until 2011.

Hellen Kahunde,also Helen Kahunde,is a Ugandan educator and politician who serves as the Member of Parliament representing the Kiryandongo District Women' Constituency in the 10th Parliament. In 2021 she was re elected into parliament. In the eleventh parliament,she serves on the Committee on East African Community Affairs.
Basil Kiiza Bataringaya was a prominent Ugandan politician in post-independence Uganda. He was the Leader of the Opposition at the beginning of the Apollo Milton Obote government,and then he changed parties and was appointed to the powerful role of Ugandan Minister of Internal Affairs. He was imprisoned,tortured,and was one of the first political prisoners to be executed by the Idi Amin regime.
Isaac Maliyamungu,also known as Isaac Lugonzo,was a Ugandan military officer who served as one of President Idi Amin's most important officials and supporters during the Ugandan military dictatorship of 1971–79. Born in the Congo,Maliyamungu was one of the members of the 1971 coup that brought Amin to power,and was thereafter responsible for brutally suppressing dissidents throughout the country. Rising through the ranks,Maliyamungu amassed great power and earned a feared reputation. He was responsible for the mass murder of civilians and soldiers suspected of being disloyal to Amin.
Isaac Lumago was a Ugandan military officer who served as chief of staff for the Uganda Army from 1977 to 1978,and later became leader of the Former Uganda National Army (FUNA).
Godwin Sule was a high-ranking Sudanese-born Ugandan military officer who held important commands in the Uganda Army during the dictatorship of President Idi Amin. A native of southern Sudan,he fought as a rebel in the First Sudanese Civil War before migrating to Uganda. There he rose to command the Malire Battalion and later the Paratroopers Military School. Regarded as one of the most talented soldiers in the Uganda Army during Amin's rule,Sule was tasked with leading the last major Ugandan counter-offensive during the Uganda–Tanzania War of 1978–79. This operation culminated in the Battle of Lukaya of 10–11 March 1979,during which Sule was killed under unclear and disputed circumstances. His death resulted in the collapse of the Ugandan offensive,contributing to the eventual overthrow of Amin's regime.

Abdul Abdallah Nasur was a Ugandan military officer and administrative official. Under President Idi Amin he served as Governor of Central Province from January 1975 to January 1976 and from August 1976 to April 1979,when Amin was overthrown. He also served as Governor of Karamoja Province from January to August 1976.
The Arube uprising,also known as Arube mutiny and Arube Coup,was a military coup d'état attempt organized on 23–24 March 1974 by discontented elements of the Uganda Army to overthrow Ugandan President Idi Amin. Led by Brigadier Charles Arube,the coupists aimed not only for a government takeover,but also to remove many influential foreign-born soldiers from the Ugandan military. Although the rebels initially succeeded in capturing much of Uganda's capital Kampala,Arube was killed by Amin as he attempted to capture him,resulting in the gradual collapse of the coup. With the aid of loyal troops from outside the capital,the President was able to put down the coup after two days of heavy fighting.

Taban Lupayi,often just called Taban,was a high-ranking Sudanese-born Ugandan military officer during the dictatorship of Idi Amin. He rose to commander of the Marine Regiment and deputy chief of staff of the Uganda Army following the 1971 Ugandan coup d'état,and became a member of Amin's inner circle. Taban deserted his post during the Uganda–Tanzania War in 1979,fleeing to southern Sudan.
