A UK Restricted Service Licence is typically granted to radio stations and television stations broadcasting within the UK to serve a local community or a special event. Licences are granted by the broadcasting authority Ofcom.
Demon FM is a student radio station based at De Montfort University in Leicester, England. The station broadcasts online during term time. It was established in 1995 by the Communications Officer of the time, Rob Martin. The first licensed broadcast was on 106.4 FM from 29 September 1995 to 26 October 1995 and the second broadcast was on 106.2 FM from 22 April 1996 to 19 May 1996. Demon FM continued to broadcast on Restricted Service Licences until 2008 with the last of the RSL broadcasts taking place on 97.5FM. Demon FM finished their 26th and final RSL on 30 November 2008.
Radio LaB 97.1FM, formerly Luton FM, is a student radio station, managed, produced and presented by students at the Luton town centre campus of the University of Bedfordshire in Luton, Bedfordshire. Radio LaB stands for Radio Luton and Bedfordshire. It is now a full-time radio station with a community licence.
Moorlands Radio is a community radio station based in Leek in the Staffordshire Moorlands, England. It was granted the full-time licence in the second round of community radio licensing by broadcast regulator Ofcom in February 2008. The station serves the rural Staffordshire Moorlands, covering the main towns of Leek and Biddulph.

Spark carries a variety of content catering for both mainstream and niche musical audiences, specialising in chart hits and new music throughout the day, and specialist programming after 7 p.m. The radio station broadcasts on 107.0FM and online via the station's website. The official launch of Spark took place at the new £12 million CitySpace building in the centre of the city of Sunderland.

Pendle Community Radio is a community radio station based in Nelson, Lancashire. Starting broadcasts on 103.1 MHz FM in September 2007, it aims to provide dedicated programming to the Asian Muslim population that live in Pendle, east Lancashire, during times of Muslim holy festivals. As common with many of the UK's new community radio stations, it will also have a wider remit to promote wider "social gain", for all local communities, through on-air access via voluntary opportunities. The station also aims to help with community cohesion and integration, economic regeneration and development and political wellbeing.

It broadcasts on the FM frequency, 24 hours a day to the Metropolitan Borough of Calderdale, and the surrounding areas and around the world online. It is owned and run by Phoenix Radio Ltd, which has also previously held six Restricted Service Licences (RSLs) in the past. It was awarded its full-time licence by OFCOM, thus becoming, on 10 December 2007, Calderdale's first and only local radio station.

BCR is Sheffield's newest major radio station, and can be accessed in the local area on 103.1FM or by streaming over the web. BCR plays a wide range of music, and also hosts news, sports, Breakfast shows, talkshows and religious programmes, and has shows in English, Arabic, Urdu and Kurdish. BCR has over 80 presenters, and 440 members and volunteers who help run the station. BCR is also active in the local community, going to events, advertising local shops and businesses, and working in close partnership with schools and charities.

The station was one of two to apply in 2014 for an FM community radio licence to cover Stafford, and on the 3 October 2014 they were awarded the licence to broadcast from 24 April 2015.
QUAY-FM is a VHF-FM broadcasting station on the island of Alderney. It holds the only Community Radio licence in the Channel Islands which was granted in February 2014 to the Alderney Broadcasting Company, a Registered Charity in Guernsey.
