Lisa Willner is an American politician from Kentucky,serving as a Democratic member of the Kentucky House of Representatives from the 35th House district since January 2019. [1]

Harold Dallas Rogers is an American lawyer and politician serving his 22nd term as the U.S. representative for Kentucky's 5th congressional district,having served since 1981. He is a member of the Republican Party. Upon Don Young's death in 2022,Rogers became the dean of the House of Representatives.
John Griffin Carlisle was an American attorney and Democratic Party politician from Kentucky. He represented Kentucky in the United States House of Representatives from 1877 to 1890,serving as the 31st Speaker of the House from 1883 to 1889,and served in the United States Senate from 1890 to 1893. He served as the 41st Secretary of the Treasury,in the second administration of President Grover Cleveland,from 1893 to 1897—a period that included the Panic of 1893. These midterm elections occurred during the presidency of Republican Donald Trump and the governorship of Republican Matt Bevin,alongside other elections in the United States. All six of Kentucky's seats in the United States House of Representatives,nineteen of the 38 seats in the Kentucky State Senate,all 100 seats in the Kentucky House of Representatives,and one of the seven seats on the Kentucky Supreme Court were contested. Numerous county and local elections were also contested within the state.

Elections in the U.S. state of Kentucky are held regularly. Politics in Kentucky has historically been very competitive. The state leaned toward the Democratic Party during the 1860s after the Whig Party dissolved. During the Civil War,the southeastern part of the state aligned with the Union and tended to support Republican candidates thereafter,while the central and western portions remained heavily Democratic even into the following decades. Kentucky would be part of the Democratic Solid South until the mid-20th century.
