Amarachi Favour Obiajunwa is a female freestyle wrestler from Nigeria who has participated at the Olympic Games.
Egypt competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012, sending one of its largest delegations ever. A total of 110 Egyptian athletes participated in 83 events across 20 sports, with more women taking part than ever before. The nation's flagbearer in the opening ceremonies was Hesham Mesbah, a judoka who was Egypt's only medalist at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Egypt won two medals during the course of the Games: Alaaeldin Abouelkassem earned silver in the men's foil, becoming the first competitor from an African nation to win a fencing medal, while Karam Gaber captured silver in the men's 84 kg Greco-Roman wrestling event. Two Egyptian weightlifters were awarded medals retroactively, after higher-ranked competitors were disqualified for doping: Abeer Abdelrahman took silver in the women's 75 kg event, while Tarek Yehia, received bronze in the men's 85 kg event. Among other achievements, Mostafa Mansour was the nation's first competitor in sprint canoeing while fencer Shaimaa El-Gammal became the first Egyptian female to appear in four editions of the Olympics.

Alexandra Engelhardt is a German freestyle wrestler. She competed in the freestyle 48 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics and was eliminated in the 1/8 finals by Mayelis Caripá. At the 2008 Games she was knocked out in the second round.
Valeria Sergeyevna Koblova, née Zholobova is a Russian freestyle wrestler. She competed in the freestyle 55 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics; she advanced to the bronze medal match, where she was defeated by Yuliya Ratkevich. At the 2014 World Wrestling Championships she lost in the final match to 10-time World champion and 4-time Olympic champion Kaori Icho. At the 2016 Summer Olympics she lost in the gold medal match to Kaori Icho. She is Grand Master of Sports in freestyle wrestling.
Marwa Al-Amri is a Tunisian freestyle wrestler. She was born in Tunis. She represented Tunisia in the women's lightweight freestyle competition at the 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics. She is the first woman from Africa win an Olympic medal in wrestling.

She competed in the freestyle 55 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics and was eliminated by Valeria Zholobova in the qualifications. She competed in the freestyle 72 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics; she defeated Leah Callahan in the 1/8 finals and was eliminated by Maider Unda in the quarterfinals. She also competed in this weight category at the 2004 Summer Olympics, where she finished in 10th place.

At the 2015 World Wrestling Championships, he lost to Abdulrashid Sadulaev in round of 16. At the 2016 Olympics, he lost his first bout to Mihail Ganev.
Blessing Oborududu is a Nigerian freestyle wrestler. She is currently ranked as the world number two woman wrestler and also the first wrestler to win an Olympic medal representing Nigeria at the Olympics. She is also a twelve-time African champion from 2010 to 2023.
Tatyana Akhmetova-Amanzhol is an amateur Kazakh freestyle wrestler, who played for the women's flyweight category. In 2009, Bakatyuk won a gold medal for the 51 kg class at the Asian Wrestling Championships in Pattaya, Thailand, and at the FILA Golden Grand Prix in Baku, Azerbaijan.
