Aikatsu! or Aikatsu! Idol Activity is an arcade collectible card game in Bandai's Data Carddass line of machines, which launched in October 2012. The game revolves around using collectible cards featuring various clothes to help aspiring idols pass auditions. An anime television adaptation by Sunrise began airing on TV Tokyo from October 8, 2012 to March 31, 2016. In 2015, production switched from Sunrise to the studio's subsidiary Bandai Namco Pictures. Four films were released in December 2014, August 2015, August 2016, and January 2023 respectively. Three manga adaptations have been published by Shogakukan, along with four Nintendo 3DS games published by Bandai Namco Games. The series was succeeded by Aikatsu Stars! on April 7, 2016.
Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger the Movie: Gaburincho of Music is a 2013 film adaptation of the Japanese Super Sentai television series Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. It was released on August 3, 2013, as a double-bill with the Kamen Rider Series film Kamen Rider Wizard in Magic Land. The film guest stars gravure idol Shizuka Nakamura as a supporting role. Glasslip is a 13-episode Japanese anime television series produced by P.A. Works and directed by Junji Nishimura. A manga adaptation was serialized in Pony Canyon's Ponimaga online magazine, and a light novel series has also been published.

Hidekazu Tanaka is a Japanese composer and arranger best known for his work for anime and video games. He was affiliated with the music production company MONACA, but left in 2021 to be freelance.
Keiichi Okabe is a Japanese composer and arranger, best known for composing music for the Tekken and Drakengard series. He started his career at Namco in 1994, where he primarily composed for arcade games. Outside of video games, he has composed for anime series such as Working!! and Yuki Yuna is a Hero, along with arranging tracks for J-pop artists. He established the music production studio Monaca in 2004, which composes for various types of media.
My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax is a 2020 comedy, slice of life Japanese anime based on My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, as I Expected, the light novels written by Wataru Watari. Set in the far future during a proxy war between alien-created Machine Lifeforms and human-crafted androids, the story primarily focuses on 2B and 9S, soldiers for the elite YoRHa combat force who become involved with the latest conflict against the Machine Lifeforms.
"Idol" is a song by Japanese duo Yoasobi. It was released as a standalone single on April 12, 2023, through Sony Music Entertainment Japan. The song serves as the opening theme of the Japanese anime series Oshi no Ko. Written by Ayase and based on Aka Akasaka's short story 45510, the song depicts the two-faced nature of a star in the Japanese idol industry, as well as various perspectives on the anime's character Ai Hoshino from her fans, her fictional idol group B-Komachi bandmates, and herself. An animated accompanying music video for "Idol" premiered the next day, which exceeded 100 million views in a month, the fastest among Japanese acts.
