Mammad Ali oglu Maharramov was an Azerbaijani Red Army lieutenant and a Hero of the Soviet Union. Maharramov fought in the Winter War after being drafted into the Red Army in 1941. He fought in World War II from 1941 and was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union on 22 February 1944 for leading his squad in reportedly killing 50 German soldiers during the Battle of the Dnieper, among other actions. After the war, Maharramov was chairman of the village council and a kolkhoz.

The Tbilisi Higher Artillery Command School was one of the military institutions of the USSR. In different years she trained specialists of various military specialties. It was located in Tbilisi in the Georgian SSR.

Mikhail Abdolov was a Kazakh scout in World War II who was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union on 24 March 1945 for crossing the Danube and personally capturing four Nazi soldiers in a special operation in Hungary.

Mukatai Abeulov was a Kazakh soldier in the 152nd Guards Anti-tank Artillery Regiment of the Cossak Cavalry Corps in the Red Army. During the battles for Hungary he knocked out six enemy tanks before he was killed in action. He was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union on 28 April 1945.

Serikqazi Bekbosinov was a Kazakh soldier in the Red Army who distinguished himself in the Svir-Petrozavodsk operation. He was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union on 21 July 1944.

Seytqasim Ashirov was a Kazakh soldier in the Red Army during World War II. As a reconnaissance commander in the 331st Infantry Regiment he led intense reconnaissance missions behind enemy lines. He was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union on 24 March 1945 for his work. After the war he worked as director of a sovkhoz.
