This is a list non-Soviet citizens awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union. Of over the 12,000 recipients of the title, 44 of them were foreign citizens.
Stepan Yelizarovich Artyomenko was the commander of a battalion of the 447th Rifle Regiment in the Red Army during the Second World War, who was twice awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.
Pyotr Ivanovich Kuznetsov was a Red Army junior sergeant during World War II and a Hero of the Soviet Union. Kuznetsov was awarded the title for his actions in the 1943 Battle of Kiev, where he reportedly killed 41 German soldiers. He was seriously wounded and discharged soon after. After the war, Kuznetsov lived in Kaluga.
Mikhail Grigoryevich Solovyov was a Red Army Lieutenant and posthumous Hero of the Soviet Union. Solovyov was posthumously awarded the title for his leadership of a company during the Battle of the Dnieper, in which he reportedly killed 31 German soldiers. Solovyov was killed in action during the Battle of the Dnieper.
Pavel Antonovich Kabanov was a Red Army senior sergeant and Hero of the Soviet Union. Kabanov was awarded the title for suppressing German firing positions during the crossing of the Western Dvina in the Vitebsk–Orsha Offensive. Postwar, he worked at the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute.
Gafur Nasir oglu Mammadov was an Azerbaijani Soviet Navy Matros and a posthumous Hero of the Soviet Union. Mammadov was posthumously awarded the title on 31 March 1943 for reportedly shielding his commander from fire with his body.
Mikhail Mikhailovich Badyuk was a Soviet aviator in the 9th Guards Mine Torpedo Aviation Regiment of the 5th Mine-Torpedo Air Division in the Northern Fleet’s aviation division during the Second World War. For his actions in the military, he was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union on 22 February 1944.
Aleksey Afanasyevich Pasko was a junior lieutenant of the Red Army. He fought in the Second World War, being awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union in 1945.
