Stepan Yelizarovich Artyomenko was the commander of a battalion of the 447th Rifle Regiment in the Red Army during the Second World War, who was twice awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.
Idris Hasan oglu Suleymanov was an Azerbaijani Red Army Lieutenant and Hero of the Soviet Union. During the Battle of the Caucasus near Mozdok in November 1942, he led the 1st Rifle Platoon of the 1st Separate Rifle Battalion in the 43rd Separate Rifle Brigade. He reportedly launched a counterattack and was wounded in the eye and leg but did not leave the front line. Suleymanov was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union on 13 December 1942. He retired postwar and worked at the local social security department.
Pyotr Emelyanovich Shelepov was a Red Army man and a Hero of the Soviet Union. Shelepov was awarded the title for his actions in the Berlin Offensive, in which he and others captured a height and then held it against several counterattacks. Postwar, he became a prosecutor.
Aleksey Afanasyevich Pasko was a junior lieutenant of the Red Army. He fought in the Second World War, being awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union in 1945.
Sadyk Abdujabbarov was a Kazakh officer in the Red Army who distunguished himself in Operation Bagration for which he was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union on 22 July 1944.
Mukatai Abeulov was a Kazakh soldier in the 152nd Guards Anti-tank Artillery Regiment of the Cossak Cavalry Corps in the Red Army. During the battles for Hungary he knocked out six enemy tanks before he was killed in action. He was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union on 28 April 1945.
