Meanwhile, Akihisa accidentally sends Minami a text message that appears to be a love confession. Akihisa fights Iron Man and finds out the blackmailer was Miharu. The battle is won, but after only seeing the principal washing herself, all 2nd year boys are suspended for a period of one week. After the turbulence between Akihisa and Minami, Miharu is confronted by Akihisa (in hopes to anger her for an ESB). Akihisa successfully enrages Miharu for a battle on the school roof. After Akihisa gains the upper hand, he is "betrayed" by his classmates and attacked. Yūji strikes a truce with Miharu. It is revealed in the epilogue, Akihisa admits his true feelings about Minami through a tape Voyeur secretly recorded. Minami overhears this tape outside the classroom and later admits to her sister "Your sister has fallen hard for someone...". | |||

Yūji and Shōko reminisce about an elementary school (5th grade) memory. Yūji, at the time, was considered a genius, surpassing 6th graders, and was very overconfident and selfish. A trio of jealous 6th graders try to blackmail Yūji by writing "I cheated on all of my tests" on his P.E. uniform. Shōko, already in love with Yūji, tries to stop them. However, she fails and is bullied. Yūji notices them, and decides to save Shōko, by fighting the 6th graders. Later that day, Yūji comes home beaten, and Shōko explains to his mother. Yūji's mother then lets little Shōko know that she is rooting for Shōko to gain Yūji's love. | |||

The enemies from the past return to have a little revenge. Being embarrassed by students a year lower than them some time ago, the Tokonatsu duo somewhat thought of a little way to get some payback. The system in the school, already being a little broken again for the third time, gave their principal an idea to give the students a way to settle their little fight. They decided to have a little RPG like game, on where a pair of two each time enters areas where they have to defeat the enemies en route to the final destination. The episode ends with an unfinished game and Tsunemura confessing to Hideyoshi, who screams and gets his team disqualified. | |||

As the 2nd years' forces are dwindling, Minami and Akihisa enter the battlefield. After escaping from Miharu, Minami faints from fear. As a result, Akihisa lets her rest and goes with Mizuki. As Mizuki is telling off Akihisa for calling her a princess, the room becomes pitch black and Akihisa then pairs with Yuuji, while Mizuki finds Shōko. As the Tokonatsu duo prepare to battle the pair of girls, Mizuki screams at the seniors for degrading Akihisa and Yuuji, causing the girls to get eliminated. After hearing Mizuki, Akihisa and Yuuji battle the Tsunemura and Natsukawa. After outwitting the Todonatsu duo, Akihisa and Yuuji win. Afterwards, Akihisa apologizes to Mizuki, who forgives him, requests that he calls her by first name, and kisses his cheek, telling him that her crush from season 1 (Akihisa himself) is still strong. Afterwards, Minami comes and asks why Akihisa didn't stay with her, causing misunderstanding and confusion, and Akihisa is chased by the girls. Yuuji also runs away from Shōko, who demands marriage for not finishing the challenge with her. Then, all the students and Iron Man run outside in a circle. |
Darker than Black, is a Japanese anime television series created and directed by Tensai Okamura and animated by studio Bones. 25 episodes were broadcast on MBS, TBS and their affiliated stations from April to September 2007. The series is set in a world where a spatial anomaly identified as "Heaven's Gate" appeared in South America and was followed by "Hell's Gate" in Tokyo, altering the sky and wreaking havoc on the landscapes. People with special abilities labeled as Contractors emerged shortly afterwards. The series follows agent Hei and his comrades in the Syndicate organization, operating in an vastly altered version of contemporary Tokyo to uncover the mysteries of Hell's Gate.
Baka and Test, also known as Baka and Test: Summon the Beasts, is a Japanese light novel series written by Kenji Inoue with illustrations by Yui Haga. The series revolves around Akihisa Yoshii, the titular baka (idiot) and his friends at Fumizuki Academy, a school where students are sorted into classes based on their entrance exam test grades. The top classes receive better classroom equipment and benefits, while the bottom classes receive very little. Class F, the lowest class in the school, are angered by this injustice and vow to fight the higher-level classes for better equipment and respect. Baka and Test was published by Enterbrain, with a total of 18 novels published from January 2007 to March 2015 under its Famitsu Bunko imprint.
A Certain Scientific Railgun is a Japanese manga series written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Motoi Fuyukawa, which began serialization in the April 2007 issue of ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Daioh magazine. The manga is a spin-off of Kamachi's A Certain Magical Index light novel series, taking place before and during the events of the main story. Seven Seas Entertainment began publishing the series in North America in June 2011. An anime television series adaptation by J.C.Staff aired in Japan between October 2009 and March 2010, followed by an original video animation released in October 2010. A second season titled A Certain Scientific Railgun S aired between April and September 2013. A spin-off manga series titled A Certain Scientific Railgun: Astral Buddy began serialization in Dengeki Daioh from April 2017 to July 2020. High School DxD is a Japanese light novel series written by Ichiei Ishibumi and illustrated by Miyama-Zero. The story centers on Issei Hyodo, a perverted high school student from Kuoh Academy who desires to be a harem king and is killed by his first date, revealed to be a fallen angel, but is later revived as a devil by the red-haired devil princess Rias Gremory to serve her and her devil family. Issei's deepening relationship with Rias proves dangerous to the angels, the fallen angels, and the devils. High School DxD began serialization in Fujimi Shobo's Dragon Magazine in its September 2008 issue. The first volume was released on September 20, 2008. A total of twenty five volumes is available in Japan as of March 2018 under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation by Hiroji Mishima began serialization in the July 2010 issue of Dragon Magazine and later in the March 2011 issue of Monthly Dragon Age with eleven volumes released.
The second season of the Black Clover anime TV series was directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and produced by Pierrot. The season adapts Yūki Tabata's manga series of the same name from the rest of the 9th volume to the 17th volume, with the exception of episodes 55 and 56, episode 66 (recap), episode 82, and episodes 85 and 86 (filler). The first 14 episodes focus on the Black Bulls as they enter the Forest of Witches and help heal Asta's arms, which were injured from his battle with the Eye of the Midnight Sun.
High School DxD is an anime series adapted from the light novels of the same title written by Ichiei Ishibumi and illustrated by Miyama-Zero. Produced by TNK, directed by Tetsuya Yanagisawa, and written by Takao Yoshioka, the anime aired on TV Tokyo's satellite channel AT-X from January 6 to March 23, 2012. Set during the struggle among the devils, fallen angels, and angels, the story follows the adventures of Issei Hyodo. Issei is a perverted high school student who is nearly killed by his first date, who is revealed to be a fallen angel. He is revived by Rias Gremory, who is a crimson-haired school beauty that is actually a devil, and becomes her servant. The first season adapts material from the first two volumes of the light novels and a few side stories from Volume 8.
The third season of the Black Clover anime television series was directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and produced by Pierrot. The season premiered on October 1, 2019 on TV Tokyo in Japan. The season adapts Yūki Tabata's manga series of the same name from the rest of the 17th volume to the end of the 23rd volume, with the exception of episodes 123 and 124 (recap), and episodes 130–154, which are officially considered anime canon episodes that were supervised by Tabata. On April 26, 2020, it was announced that after Episode 132, the remaining episodes of the season would be delayed due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. After a two-month hiatus, the season resumed on July 7, 2020. Both Crunchyroll and Funimation licensed the series for an English release, with Crunchyroll simulcasting the third season, and Funimation producing a North American Simuldub. Funimation's adaptation premiered on February 2, 2020 on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block. Toonami's broadcast went on hiatus after episode 136 on October 25, 2020 as a result of production delays for the English dub caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The season resumed its run on Toonami on February 14, 2021 and ended on June 13.
