Thavory Meas Bong (ថាវរីមាសបង) is a Cambodian melodramatic film of the late 1960s directed by Uon Kon Thuok of Korng Chak Pheap Yun. The film stars Kong Som Oeurn, Saom Vansodany, Vichara Dany and So Hean.
Saom Vansodany or Som Van Sok Dany was a famous Cambodian actress from the late 1960s until 1975. She was mainly featured and famous for her roles in melodramatic movies such as Thavory Meas Bong and Sovannahong. She married fellow actor, Chea Yuthorn before the communist era. Details of her life are relatively unknown and she is believed to have perished from overwork under the Khmer Rouge regime shortly after giving birth to her son, Thorn Tharith.
Vann Vannak was a popular actor in Cambodia during the late 1960s until 1975. Despite his talents, producers usually favored casting his rivals Kong Som Oeurn or Chea Yuthorn in their movies. Due to their lack of support, Vann Vannak starred in considerably fewer films when compared to his rivals. Nevertheless, he was pivotal in movies such as Sovann Pancha, Neang Kakey, and Champa Meas all of which had Vichara Dany as the female lead. To increase his presence in the industry he created his own production company known as Pisnoka in 1970 which made eight films casting himself as the male lead in all of them.
Gong Gam Gong Geo is a 1964 Khmer film directed by Biv Chai Leang starring Chea Yuthon and rising actress Y Kim Sua.
Kong Som Eun was a famous Cambodian actor and film director who ruled the Cambodian film industry from the mid-1960s through the early 1970s.
Chamrieng Et Preang Tuk is a 1974 Cambodian musical film directed and produced by Sinn Sisamouth. The film star Kong Som Eun and Vichara Dany. It also features singer Ros Serey Sothea.
Chhnam Oun 16 is a 1973 Cambodian film starring Chea Yuthon and Saom Vansodany. Shortly after the film was released, the public found Chea Yuthon and saom Vansodany engaged.
Teav Aek is a 1972 Khmer film directed by Biv Chai Leang. The film stars Kong Som Eun and Vichara Dany. It is based on the Khmer novel written by Preah Botumthera Som, Tum Teav, which is widely considered the Khmer Romeo and Juliet. This film was remade in 2003 by Fai Som Ang as Tum Teav.
Ynav Boseeba is a 1968 Khmer film adapted from one of the many tales of 1001 Arabian Nights. The film is directed by Yvon Hem and stars Kong Som Eun and Saom Vansodany. The film was discovered to be in existence in 2009.
Neang Champa Meas is a 1970 Khmer film directed by Saravuth and stars Vann Vannak and Vichara Dany.
Sangkum Banh Loloke is a 1970 film directed by Ly Bun Yim. It stars Kong Som Eun and Virak Dara.
Sdach Domrei Sar is a 1970 Khmer film directed by actress Dy Saveth and stars Vann Vannak and Dy Saveth herself. The film has been remade again in 2005.
