"Regret" is a song by British alternative rock band New Order. It was released on 5 April 1993 as the lead single from their sixth studio album, Republic (1993). Stephen Hague is credited as both the producer and as a co-writer. It was the band's first single released on CentreDate Co Ltd following the collapse of Factory Records.
"Cat's in the Cradle" is a 1974 folk rock song by Harry Chapin from the album Verities & Balderdash. The single topped the US Billboard Hot 100 in December 1974. As Chapin's only number-one song, it became the best known of his work and a staple for folk rock music. Chapin's recording of the song was nominated for the 1975 Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2011.
"A Whole New World" is a song from Disney's 1992 animated feature film Aladdin, with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Tim Rice. A duet originally recorded by singers Brad Kane and Lea Salonga in their respective roles as the singing voices of the main characters Aladdin and Jasmine, the ballad serves as both the film's love and theme song. Lyrically, "A Whole New World" describes Aladdin showing the confined princess a life of freedom and the pair's acknowledgment of their love for each other while riding on a magic carpet. The song garnered an Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 65th Academy Awards. "A Whole New World" also won the Grammy Award for Song of the Year at the 36th Annual Grammy Awards, the first and so far only Disney song to win in the category. In the same year, the version sung by Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle was also nominated for Record of the Year.
"Run to You" is a song performed by American singer Whitney Houston and is the fourth single released from The Bodyguard: Original Soundtrack Album. The song was released on June 21, 1993 by Arista Records. It was written by Jud Friedman and Allan Rich, and produced by David Foster. Originally intended to be a break-up song, it was approved by the production and stars. However, a month later, the director of The Bodyguard called, saying he liked the song so much, but he'd rather have it to be a love song so the entire song was rewritten, except for the title.
"If" is a song written by American singer-songwriter David Gates in 1971. Originally popularized by his group Bread, "If" charted at No. 4 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 when released as a single in 1971 and No. 6 in Canada. It also spent three weeks at No. 1 on the U.S. Easy Listening chart, and one week at the top of the Canadian AC chart.

Gabriel has said that the song is about a relationship in which the woman is sophisticated, bright, cultured, and knows everything about anything while the man knows nothing about anything; however, he does know about the woman, and she does not know much about herself.
"Please Forgive Me" is a song by Canadian rock musician Bryan Adams. It was released in October 1993 as the only single and bonus track from his greatest hits compilation album So Far So Good. The single reached number seven on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number two on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. In the United Kingdom, it peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart. It is his only Australian number-one single not written for a motion picture, and it also topped the charts of Belgium, Canada, France, Ireland, Norway, and Portugal.
"She Don't Know She's Beautiful" is a song written by Paul Harrison and Bob McDill, and recorded by American country music singer Sammy Kershaw. "Alibis" is a song written by Randy Boudreaux, and recorded by American country music artist Tracy Lawrence. It was released on February 11, 1993, as the lead single and title track from his album Alibis. The song became Lawrence's second number one country hit in 1993 on the US Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart and on the Canadian RPM Country Tracks chart.
"Almost Goodbye" is a song written by Billy Livsey and Don Schlitz, and recorded by American country music singer Mark Chesnutt. It was released in August 1993 as the second single and title track from his 1993 album of the same name. The power ballad peaked at number-one on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart and at number 2 on the Canadian RPM Country Tracks chart.
"By the Time This Night Is Over" is a song by Kenny G and Peabo Bryson, released as a single from his album Breathless, in 1993 and on Bryson's studio album Through the Fire, in 1994. The song peaked at number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart during the summer of 1993, spending seven weeks in the top 40. On the R&B chart, the song reached number 37. On the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart, "By the Time This Night Is Over" spent two weeks at number one, becoming the third chart-topper on this chart for both men. In Canada, the song reached number six on the RPM Top Singles chart and number one on the RPM Adult Contemporary chart for a week.
"Said I Loved You...But I Lied" is a song by American pop music singer Michael Bolton. The song was co-written and co-produced by Bolton and Robert John "Mutt" Lange. Released as the first single from his ninth album, The One Thing (1993), the single topped the American and Canadian adult contemporary charts, reached the top 10 in the United States and in three other countries, and was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
"My Baby Loves Me " is a song written by American singer-songwriter Gretchen Peters. The song was first recorded by Canadian country music singer Patricia Conroy on her 1992 album, Bad Day for Trains. Her version was released in May 1992 as the first single from her album and peaked at number 8 on the RPM Top Country Tracks chart.
"Simple Life" is a song written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin and was the fourth and final single release from John's 1992 album, The One.
