The sixth season of the Canadian teen drama television series Degrassi: The Next Generation commenced airing in Canada on 28 November 2006, concluded on 14 May 2007 and contains nineteen episodes. This season depicts the lives of high school juniors, seniors and graduates as they deal with some of the challenges and issues young adults face such as imprisonment, online predators, burglary, substance abuse, stress, gambling addiction, financial difficulties, school rivalries, pregnancy scares and death. This is the first season in franchise history to feature college aged characters in prominent roles. Criss Angel BeLIEve is a show that aired on Spike. It debuted on October 8, 2013, and is stylized much like Angel's previous show Mindfreak that aired on A&E. The show gives viewers unprecedented access into Angel's "Think Tank" and shows the creative process behind the illusions and demonstrations from conception to execution. It is centered on stunts and street magic acts by magician Criss Angel. Originally, 11 episodes were set to air, but only 10 were shown due to a surgery on Angel that was deemed necessary after he suffered a severe shoulder injury from his "Double Straight Jacket" escape.
Gogglebox is a British reality television series created by Stephen Lambert, Tania Alexander and Tim Harcourt, and broadcast on Channel 4. The series documents families and groups of friends around the United Kingdom who are filmed for their observations and reactions to the previous week's television from their own homes. The first series launched on 7 March 2013, and the show returned for its twenty-second series on 8 September 2023. The show was narrated by Caroline Aherne from its launch until her death in July 2016, after which Craig Cash took over.
Documentary Now! is an American mockumentary television series, created by Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Seth Meyers, and Rhys Thomas, that premiered on August 20, 2015, on IFC. PTEN, Spelling Premiere Network, Family Network and the proposed WB Network & Paramount Network were being shopped in January 1994 against syndicated blocks Disney Afternoon and Universal's "Action Pack." Spelling Premiere Network had launched in August 1994. All American Television considered launching a first-run movie network with 22 movies as of November 1994. Chris-Craft subsidiary United Television then partnered with Paramount to create the United Paramount Network (UPN), which launched in January 1995. Warner Bros. parent Time Warner then formed a partnership with the Tribune Company to create The WB, which also launched less than a week after UPN made its debut. Concurrently, United left PTEN's parent, the Prime Time Consortium, to focus on UPN, leaving PTEN as primarily a syndicator of its remaining programs; the service shared affiliations with its respective parents' own network ventures until it finally folded in September 1997.
When the World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, all major professional and collegiate organizations responded by suspending operations indefinitely. This effect was passed down to the world of sports broadcasting, which includes live coverage of thousands of events on an annual basis through stations and network available over the air, through cable, satellite, and IPTV companies, and via streaming and over-the-top services.
