The list of Czech state funerals is an overview of state funerals in the history of what is now the Czech Republic.

After the death of singer Karel Gott (1 October 2019), the then Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Andrej Babiš, suggested a state funeral for him. [8] Ultimately, Karel Gott had a funeral with state honours. [9]

Karel, 12th and 7th Prince of Schwarzenberg was a Czech politician, diplomat and statesman who served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic from 2007 to 2009 and then again between 2010 and 2013. Schwarzenberg was leader and co-founder of the TOP 09 party and its candidate for president of the Czech Republic in the 2013 election. The next Czech parliamentary election will be held in or before October 2025. All 200 members of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic will be elected and the leader of the resultant government will become the Prime Minister.

The next leadership election for ANO 2011 is expected to be held in 2024. The incumbent leader Andrej Babiš previously stated that he won't run for another term in 2024 but eventually changed his mind.

Karel Havlíček is a Czech politician. He served as the Deputy Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Minister of Industry and Trade and Minister of Transport in Second Cabinet of Andrej Babiš. Havlíček has been a member of Chamber of Deputies (MP) since 2021.

<i>Czech Century</i> Czech TV series or program

Czech Century (Czech: České století, is a Czech historical television series. It deals with the background of important historical events in Czech history since World War I to Dissolution of Czechoslovakia. According to the creators, it is not a pure documentary series, but rather a film series "exposing the taboo of key events of our modern history". In particular, the series studies the psychology and mental motivations of individual actors of historical events in the moments when these personalities "had a knife to their throats" and were aware that their decision would affect not only their loved ones, but the entire nation for many years to come. The authors deliberately do not evaluate whether the persons in question behaved right or wrong from a historical point of view.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Death and state funeral of Tomáš Masaryk</span>

Tomáš Masaryk, first President of Czechoslovakia, died at his residence at Lány Castle on 14 September 1937. His state funeral was held in the capital city of Prague on 21 September, and was attended by hundreds of thousands of participants as well as dignitaries from several nations. His body was then transported by funeral train to Lány where he was buried at Masaryk Family Grave at a local cemetery. The funeral of President Masaryk remains one of the biggest funerals in the history of the Czech lands.
