The England national rugby union team competes in the annual Six Nations Championship with France, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, and Wales. They have won this championship on a total of 28 occasions, 13 times winning the Grand Slam and 25 times winning the Triple Crown, making them the most successful outright winners in the tournament's history. They are ranked fourth in the world by the International Rugby Board as of 18 March 2019. England are to date the only team from the northern hemisphere to win the Rugby World Cup, when they won the tournament back in 2003. They were also runners-up in 1991 and 2007.

The 1991 England rugby union tour of Australia and Fiji was a series of six matches played by the England national rugby union team in Australia and Fiji in July 1991. The England team won five of their nine matches. England lost their international against the Australia national rugby union team but won the match against the Fiji national rugby union team.
The 2000 Argentina rugby union tour of Australia and England were two series of matches played by the Argentina national rugby union team. The first tour was held in June, the second in November.
The 1994 Canada rugby union tour of England and France was a series of matches played in December 1994 in England and France by the Canada national rugby union team to prepare for the 1995 Rugby World Cup.
