RAI – Radiotelevisione italiana, commercially styled as Rai since 2000 and known until 1954 as Radio Audizioni Italiane (RAI), is the national public broadcasting company of Italy, owned by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Rai operates many terrestrial and subscription television channels and radio stations. It is one of the biggest broadcasters in Europe, and the biggest in Italy competing with Mediaset and other minor radio and television networks. Rai has a relatively high television audience share of 35.9%.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Public holidays in Italy</span>

Public holidays in Italy are established by the Italian parliament and, with the exception of city or community patronal days, apply nationwide. These include a mix of national, religious and local observances. As for Whit Monday, there is an exception for South Tyrol. Football is the most popular sport in Italy. The Italy national football team is considered one of the best national teams in the world. They have won the FIFA World Cup four times, trailing only Brazil, runners-up in two finals both against Brazil, and reaching a third place (1990) and a fourth place (1978). They have also won two European Championships, also appeared in two finals, finished third at the Confederations Cup (2013) and the Nations League, won one Olympic football tournament (1936) and two Central European International Cups.

The languages of Italy include Italian, which serves as the country's national language, in its standard and regional forms, as well as numerous local and regional languages, most of which, like Italian, belong to the broader Romance group. The majority of languages often labeled as regional are distributed in a continuum across the regions' administrative boundaries, with speakers from one locale within a single region being typically aware of the features distinguishing their own variety from others spoken nearby.

Elisa Toffoli , performing under the mononym Elisa, is an Italian singer-songwriter. She is one of the few Italian musicians who write and record mainly in English. She draws inspiration from many genres such as pop, alternative rock, electronica and trip hop. In Europe she is perhaps most recognised for the single "Come Speak to Me", while American audiences may recognise the song "Dancing" as featured in both the 2006 and 2007 seasons of So You Think You Can Dance. On 18 December 2012, her collaboration with Ennio Morricone, "Ancora qui", was featured in Quentin Tarantino's film Django Unchained and on its soundtrack album, which was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.

Democratic Centre is a centrist, Christian leftist and social-liberal political party in Italy. Most of its members, including its leader Bruno Tabacci, are former Christian Democrats. Since its beginnings, the CD has been also part of the centre-left coalition, centred around the Democratic Party (PD).

Andrea Della Corte was an Italian musicologist and critic. Born in Naples on 5 April 1883, Della Corte studied law at the University of the native city, but was self-taught in music. After some short experiences in Neapolitan papers, he moved to Turin, where he was music critic for La Stampa from 1919 to May 1967. He brought the music journalism in Italy to a level of «professionalism hitherto unknown». In Turin, Della Corte also taught history of music, both at the Turin Conservatory (1926–53) and at the University of Turin (1939–53).

The Italian Union of Seventh-Day Adventist Christian Churches, part of the worldwide fellowship of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, is a Protestant denomination in Italy.

Aldo Agatino Forbice was an Italian radio host and journalist. As a radio host he was most well known for hosting the Rai Radio 1 program Zapping from 1994 to 2012. He was also an author of long-form essay novels, poetry compilations, and several fiction books, many of which won literary awards in Italy.

Volt Italy is an Eurofederalist political party in Italy. It is an affiliate of Volt Europa and was founded in 2018. Volt was unable to take part in the 2019 European Parliament election in Italy, failing to obtain the required 150,000 notarised supporter signatures. Since then, the party has contested municipal and regional elections, winning a number of mandates and providing a deputy mayor since October 2021.
