<span class="mw-page-title-main">Maccabiah Games</span> International Jewish multi-sport event

The Maccabiah Games, first held in 1932, are an international Jewish and Israeli multi-sport event held quadrennially in Israel. The Maccabiah Games are open to Jewish athletes from around the world, and to all Israeli citizens regardless of their religion. It is the third-largest sporting event in the world by number of competitors, with 10,000 athletes competing. The Maccabiah Games were declared a "Regional Sports Event" by, and under the auspices and supervision of, the International Olympic Committee in 1961.

Maccabi World Union is an international Jewish sports organisation spanning five continents and more than 50 countries, with some 400,000 members. The Maccabi World Union organises the Maccabiah Games, a prominent international Jewish athletics event.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2005 Maccabiah Games</span>

The 17th Maccabiah Games, held in Israel, were an incarnation of the 'Jewish Olympics.' They attracted the largest attendance of any Maccabiah Games, including more than 900 representatives from the United States, almost 500 from Australia, and more than 2,000 from Israel, bringing the total participants to more than 7,700 from 55 countries.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2009 Maccabiah Games</span>

The 18th Maccabiah Games, were held in July 2009. According to the organizing committee these were the largest games held yet. These Games were the world's fifth-largest sporting event, behind the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, World Police and Fire Games, and Universiade. On the 13 July, more than 6,000 Jewish athletes from all over the world joined Team Israel's 3,000 participants at the Ramat Gan Stadium in Tel Aviv District, Israel, for the opening ceremony. American swimmer Jason Lezak was given the honor of lighting the Maccabiah torch at the Opening Ceremony.

Hapoel Holon was an Israeli football club based in Holon. It ceased to exist in 1985 when it merged with Tzafririm Holon to form Hapoel Tzafririm Holon. In summer 2014 the club was resurrected by local businessmen.

F.C. Shikun HaMizrah, Moadon Sport Shikun HaMizrah, lit. Shikun HaMizrah Sport Club is an Israeli football club which representing Shikun HaMizrah neighborhood in Rishon LeZion. The club currently plays in Liga Alef South division.

Hapoel Ramla is an Israeli football club based in Ramla. They are currently in Liga Gimel Central division, and play home matches at the Ofer Park in Ramla.

Hapoel Ihud Bnei Sumei is an Israeli football club based in Kisra-Sumei. The club is currently in Liga Bet North A division.

Maccabi Ironi Sderot is an Israeli football club based in Sderot. The club is currently in Liga Bet South B division.

The 2003–04 Liga Bet season saw Hapoel Bnei Jadeidi, Hapoel Afula, Hapoel Qalansawe and Hapoel Bnei Lod win their regional divisions and promoted to Liga Alef.

Hapoel Isfiya is a football club based in Isfiya in northern Israel. The club is currently in Liga Gimel, Jezreel division.

Hapoel Afikim was an Israeli football club based in the Kibbutz of Afikim. The club played for eighteen successive seasons at the third tier of Israeli football league system.

Daniel Miller Tenenbaum, sometimes known as just Daniel, is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Maccabi Tel Aviv as a goalkeeper.

The 1950–51 season was the 3rd season of competitive football in Israel and the 25th season under the Israeli Football Association, established in 1928, during the British Mandate.
