Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries (Denmark) Danish minister

Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries of Denmark is the politically appointed head of the Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, and a member of the Cabinet. Since 2 May 2018, Jakob Ellemann-Jensen from the Venstre party has served as Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries in the Lars Løkke Rasmussen III Cabinet.

Denmark Constitutional monarchy in Europe

Denmark, officially the Kingdom of Denmark, is a sovereign state in Northern Europe. Denmark proper consists of a peninsula, Jutland, and an archipelago of 443 named islands, with the largest being Zealand, Funen and the North Jutlandic Island. The islands are characterised by flat, arable land and sandy coasts, low elevation and a temperate climate. The southernmost of the Scandinavian nations, Denmark lies southwest of Sweden and south of Norway, and is bordered to the south by Germany. Denmark has a total area of 42,924 km2 (16,573 sq mi), land area of 42,394 km2 (16,368 sq mi), and the total area including Greenland and the Faroe Islands is 2,210,579 km2 (853,509 sq mi), and a population of 5.8 million.

Geography of Denmark

Denmark is a Nordic country located in Northern Europe. It consists of the Jutland peninsula and several islands in the Baltic sea, referred to as the Danish Archipelago. Denmark is located southwest of Sweden and due south of Norway and is bordered by the German state Schleswig-Holstein to the south, on Denmark's only land border, 68 kilometers long.

The economy of Denmark is a modern market economy with comfortable living standards, a high level of government services and transfers, and a high dependence on foreign trade. Wollert Konow was Prime Minister of Norway from 1910 to 1912. He was the leader of a coalition cabinet. Konow's time as Prime Minister saw the extension of accident insurance to seamen in 1911.

Eva Kjer Hansen is a Danish politician. She was the Danish Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries as member of the Cabinet of Anders Fogh Rasmussen II, III and the Lars Løkke Rasmussen I Cabinet from 12 September 2007 until 23 February 2010, and she was Social Minister and Minister for Women's Rights from 2 August 2004 to 12 September 2007, as member of the Cabinet of Anders Fogh Rasmussen I and II. As part of the Lars Løkke Rasmussen II Cabinet she was Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries from 28 June 2015 until 29 February 2016. She has been Minister for Gender Equality and Nordic Cooperation since 2 May 2018.

The Constitutional Act of the Kingdom of Denmark, or simply the Constitution, is the constitution of the Kingdom of Denmark, applying equally in Denmark proper, Greenland and the Faroe Islands. In its present form, the Constitutional Act is from 1953, but the principal features of the Act go back to 1849, making it one of the oldest constitutions.

The Naalakkersuisut is the government of Greenland, a "constituent country" of the Kingdom of Denmark, takes place in a framework of a parliamentary representative democratic country, whereby the prime minister is the head of government, and of a multi-party system. Mette Frederiksen is a Danish politician who has been the Prime Minister of Denmark since June 2019. First elected to the Folketing in 2001, she went on to serve under Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt as Minister of Employment from 2011 to 2014 and Minister of Justice from 2014 until she succeeded her as party leader in June 2015.

Denmark–Ukraine relations refers to the current and historical relations between Denmark and Ukraine. Denmark has an embassy in Kiev, and Ukraine has an embassy in Copenhagen. Denmark recognized Ukraine on 31 December 1991, and diplomatic relations were established on 12 February 1992. Current Ukrainian ambassador to Denmark is Mykhailo Skuratovsky.

Denmark–Mozambique relations refers to the current and historical relations between Denmark and Mozambique. Denmark has an embassy in Maputo, and Mozambique is represented in Denmark, through its embassy in Stockholm, Sweden with an honorary consulate in Copenhagen. Diplomatic relations were established on 26 June 1975, but relations date back to before Mozambique achieved independence. The Danish Institute for Human Rights has worked with Mozambique since 1997. In 2000, Denmark signed an agreement with Finance Minister Luisa Diogo about implementation of mechanisms.

2019 Danish general election Parlimentary election in Denmark

General elections were held in Denmark on 5 June 2019 to elect all 179 members of the Folketing; 175 in Denmark proper, two in the Faroe Islands and two in Greenland. The elections took place ten days after the European Parliament elections.
