The One Piece franchise has spawned thirteen television specials that aired on Fuji TV. Of these specials, the first four, as well as the sixth, eighth, tenth and eleventh are original stories created by the anime staff, while the fifth, seventh, ninth, twelfth and thirteenth specials are alternate re-tellings of certain story arcs.

On April 7, 2013, a two-part hour-long crossover TV special, between Dragon Ball Z, One Piece and Toriko , referred to as Dream 9 Toriko & One Piece & Dragon Ball Z Super Collaboration Special!! aired on Fuji TV. [1] The first part is named "Run, Strongest Team! Toriko, Luffy, Goku!" (走れ最強軍団!トリコとルフィと悟空!, Hashire Saikyō Gundan! Toriko to Luffy to Goku!) and the second is titled "History's Strongest Collaboration vs. Glutton of the Sea" (史上最強コラボVS海の大食漢, Shijō Saikyō Collaboration vs. Umi no Taishokukan). [1] The plot has the International Gourmet Organization (from Toriko) sponsoring the Tenka'ichi Shokuōkai, a race with no rules that characters from all three series compete in. [2]

Three of the specials received limited theatrical releases in South Korea in 2014; Episode of Merry, Episode of Nami and Episode of Luffy were released on August 28, December 6 and December 10, grossing 28,590,200 ($27,152), 12,319,500 ($11,700) and 11,342,500 ($10,772) respectively. [3] As with the franchise's anime television series, specials eight through thirteen have been streamed with English subtitles in North America by Funimation and Crunchyroll and released on home video by Funimation with Japanese and English-dubbed versions.

They explore the place and resolve to find the island's treasure, which can supposedly grant any wish, but the island's inhabitants possess agendas of their own for their new guests. They help the people living there, fight the monsters, and find a way to get back out.

The story opens on Pirate Zap's grandma's ship, where two of his crew, Bonnie and Max, are tired and want to escape, but unfortunately they have no money. Three children were being held captive on the ship overhear them. The eldest, Amanda, whose father was a pro treasure hunter, knows the whereabouts ofdeal. If they help them make a clean escape, they could take all the treasure they wanted. They agree, and the five of them barely escape and make it onto a small island where they meet Luffy and his crew. Unfortunately they were pursued and Luffy and Amanda are captured and brought back to their boss, the head of the Bayan Pirates, who is also after the treasure. Now Luffy and the others must battle the Bayan pirates and find the treasure that Amanda's father had left for his children. Amanda, who has always resented adventure and treasure because her father was constantly gone in search for it, finally understands his feelings. This TV Special is aired between episodes 149 and 150.

The renowned Randolph troupe is in town and they are putting on a special farewell play to mark their leader’s retirement. When three of its actors quit a mere thirty minutes before the curtain rises, the Straw Pirates offer their services; though with Robin’s overacting, Usopp trying to hog the limelight and Luffy gate-crashing the stage dressed as a monkey, the first act becomes more of a farce instead! Before the second act can commence, Randolph is arrested by the marines for selling stolen weapons to pirates, and boards the ship to prove his innocence. There, he is confronted by the Marine Commander named Governor, a former subordinate of Randolph’s, who has concocted the whole plan in order to exact his revenge on the ex-marine. Now, in addition to rescuing Randolph and protecting his ship, Luffy must also convince the troupe leader that not all pirates are bloodthirsty brutes. Whatever happens, one thing’s for sure - the show must go on! This TV Special is aired between episodes 174 and 175.

An abridged remake of the Arlong Park story arc: [n 2] Some time after joining the Straw Hats, Nami steals the Going Merry and returns to her home in Cocoyashi Village, which is under the control of the Arlong Pirates. When Usopp finds Nami, Arlong orders her to kill him, and she injures herself while faking Usopp's death. Once the Straw Hats regroup, Nami's sister Nojiko, aware of the bond they had, explains that when Arlong took control of the village, he murdered Nami's mother and held Cocoyashi's citizens as ransom to exploit Nami's exceptional talent for cartography. After Arlong informs Nezumi, a bribed Marine, of where Nami's earnings are hidden, the village riots against Arlong despite poor odds. After Nami tearfully asks Luffy for help, he and the remaining Straw Hats free the village by fighting and defeating the Arlong Pirates. After a days-long celebration, Nami re-joins the Straw Hat crew.

Luffy is 18 months into his training in Ruskaina when several Navy ships are attacked by Byrnndi World; [n 5] World was imprisoned after several of his crew gave him away to the Navy and revealed themselves to be Cipher Pol spies, but escaped Impel Down during the War of the Best and has now reunited with members of his former crew. World kidnaps Marigold and Sandersonia, and Luffy and Hancock set out to rescue them. They arrive at World's ship, which holds a huge newly built cannon; Buggy and Mihawk also arrive due to the Warlords being summoned. Once Luffy, Hancock and Buggy have taken out the remainder of World's crew, his brother Byojack unsuccessfully tries to convince him to abandon his revenge, but World reveals that he is still enraged over their "betrayal" and has been using his crew as a means to an end. Luffy overhears this and it, combined with World's taunting of Ace's death, motivates him enough to successfully defeat World using the Armament Haki ability that he had been honing on Ruskaina. Severely weakened, World uses the cannon on approaching Navy ships, but the attack is deflected by Mihawk and the Navy successfully destroys World's ship. Six months later, Luffy reunites with his crew.

An abridged remake of Sabo's childhood and the Dressrosa story arc. [n 6] After Ace's death in the Marineford War, which is seen in flashbacks, Sabo appears at his grave. He later arrives in Dressrosa to investigate a weapon smuggling, where he is informed that Doflamingo is holding a tournament at the nearby coliseum with Ace's Flame-Flame devil fruit as a prize. Luffy's crew soon arrives in Dressrosa and, entering the tournament under the alias "Lucy", he gets to the final round. Recognizing Luffy, Sabo reminisces about their shared childhood: Sabo and Ace refuse to befriend Luffy, but change their mind after he is kidnapped by a pirate and beaten for refusing to give away the location of their treasure. Later, the three declare themselves brothers. When his father finds them, Sabo reveals that he is a Noble who ran away from home and is forced to go back to his biological family. Sabo is told about a plan to burn down the poor area of the country and unsuccessfully tries to warn Ace and Luffy. Sabo escapes home again to become a pirate, but his boat is shot down and he's presumed dead. In the present day: the Straw Hats join an uprising against Doflamingo and, after revealing his identity, Sabo agrees to take "Lucy's" place so that Luffy can join them. As the Straw Hats revert Dressrosa's toy slaves back to humans, Sabo wins the tournament and eats the Flame-Flame fruit, "borrowing" Ace's Fire Fist technique.
SP10"One Piece: Adventure of Nebulandia" [4]

The Straw Hats follow a false distress signal to the Foxy Pirates, who seek revenge after their Davy Back fight. [n 7] The two crews begin another Davy Back, where Foxy's new crewmate Komei suggests a mushroom eating contest as the first round; when the Drousy Mushrooms incapacitate Zoro, Sanji, Porche and Hamburg, Komei reveals himself to be a Marine Vice Admiral and takes the four of them to the island Nebulandia as prisoners. Brook, Chopper and the Foxy Pirates look for Revival Mushrooms to reverse the effects, while the remaining Straw Hats head to Nebulanida with Foxy. Nebulandia nullifies Devil Fruit powers due to indigenous vegetation living off sea water, cause more of the group to be captured. Chopper and Brook find the Revival Mushrooms growing on a creature they nickname Mushroomconda; after they free it from a Marine trap, it transports them to Nebulandia and helps them fight the Marines. A Marine shoots Luffy in the head, but the bullet is deflected by merchandise Foxy had given to him earlier. The prisoners are rescued and Komei's group are defeated by the pirate crews. Later, Foxy attempts to betray Luffy but is himself tricked by a mirage preemptively created by Nami.

Alchemi was once known for its metal production, and for the creation of the extremely valuable Pure Gold, but the island disappeared two hundred years ago. Olga is now being pursued by the Marines who are interested in the Pure Gold. Gildo Tesoro, who controls the Navy HQ and black market, hears of Olga and hires Treasure Hunter Mad Treasure to track her down. The Straw Hats join forces with Olga in search of the Pure Gold, while she plots to takes advantage of them and use the treasure to become rich herself.

They soon meet Mont Blanc Cricket, who directs them to a natural underwater explosion which serves as transport to the islands in the sky. Once in Skypiea, the Straw Hats are targeted by the tyrannical ruler Eneru and his subordinates, as well as local rebels. Luffy defeats Eneru, bringing peace to Skypiea, and proves to Cricket that Skypiea is not a myth.

<i>One Piece</i> season 2 Season of television series

The second season of the One Piece anime series was directed by Kōnosuke Uda and produced by Toei Animation. It contains a single story arc, called "Gurando Rain Totsunyū", which adapts Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga from shortly after the beginning of the 12th through the beginning of the 15th volumes over 15 episodes, following the first adventures of Monkey D. Luffy's Straw Hat Pirates in a fictional sea, called the Grand Line. Stuck in the bowels of the giant whale Laboon, they encounter the whale's caretaker, an old man named Crocus, and Nefeltari Vivi. Taking her with them, they make enemies of the Warlord Sir Crocodile's secret organization, Baroque Works, and befriend the giants Dorry and Broggy on the prehistoric island Little Garden.

<i>One Piece</i> season 5 Season of television series

The fifth season of the One Piece anime series was directed by Kōnosuke Uda and produced by Toei Animation. Like the rest of the series, it follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates, but instead of adaptating part of Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga, it features three completely original, self-contained story arcs. The first five episodes, each following their own plots, form the "Dreams!" (ドリームス!) arc. The next three episodes make up the "Shutsugeki! Zenii Kaizoku Dan" storyline and focus on the Straw Hats meeting an old moneylender. The last five episodes form the "Niji no Kanata e" arc and deal with the protagonists getting trapped inside a mysterious, rainbow-colored mist.

<i>One Piece</i> season 7 Season of television series

The seventh season of the One Piece anime series are produced by Toei Animation and directed by Kōnosuke Uda adapted from Eiichiro Oda's manga of the same name. The season was released in Japan as a single chapter, called "Escape! The Naval Fortress & The Foxy Pirate Crew". It deals with the Straw Hat Pirates' infiltration of and escape from a Marine fortress to reclaim their confiscated treasure. The Straw Hats later meet Foxy the Silver Fox and his crew, who challenges them to the Davy Back Fight, a competition involving battles between Foxy's crew and Luffy's crew. Soon after, they encounter Admiral Aokiji, a Marine admiral who is determined to capture Nico Robin, but spares the crew after defeating Luffy.

<i>One Piece</i> season 11 Season 11 of the anime television series based on the manga One Piece

The eleventh season of the One Piece anime series was produced by Toei Animation, and directed by Hiroaki Miyamoto based on Eiichiro Oda's manga by the same name. The majority of the season covers the "Sabaody Archipelago" story arc, which deals with the Straw Hats preparing to enter Fishman Island by having their ship coated for undersea travel. During their stay, they meet an old enemy Hatchan, his friends Keimi and Papaggu, and the first mate of Gold Roger, Silvers Rayleigh, as well as 9 rookie pirates known as the "11 Supernovas". In an incident involving the auction of Keimi, the crew and the pirates are attacked by top members of the Marines, including Bartholomew Kuma, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. The final two episodes continue the "History Drama Boss Luffy" story established in the fourth TV Special and featured in the ninth season.

<i>One Piece Film: Strong World</i> 2009 Japanese anime film

One Piece Film: Strong World is a 2009 anime fantasy action adventure film directed by Munehisa Sakai and written by Hirohiko Kamisaka. It is the tenth feature film based on the shōnen manga series One Piece by Eiichiro Oda. The film features Naoto Takenaka and Scott McNeil as Shiki, the evil captain of his crew who kidnaps Nami to force her to join his crew and intends to conquer the East Blue. Monkey D. Luffy and his crew must stop Shiki from carrying out his plans.

<i>One Piece</i> season 15 Season of television series

The fifteenth season of the One Piece anime television series was produced by Toei Animation, and directed by Hiroaki Miyamoto. The season was broadcast in Japan on Fuji Television on October 2, 2011 to December 23, 2012. Like the rest of the series, it follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates. The first of fourteen DVD compilations was released on December 5, 2012, and the last one was released on December 3, 2013.

The sixteenth season of the One Piece anime television series was produced by Toei Animation, and directed by Hiroaki Miyamoto. The season began broadcasting in Japan on Fuji Television from January 6, 2013 to January 12, 2014. Like the rest of the series, it follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates. The first of twelve DVD compilations was released on January 8, 2014, with the last being released on June 4, 2014.

One Piece is a 2000 anime film released by Toei Company. It is the first film based on the manga series of the same name, and the only film in the series to use cel animation. It was originally released on March 4, 2000 as part of the Spring 2000 Toei Anime Fair, alongside Digimon Adventure: Our War Game!. The events of the film take place during the first season of One Piece as the first story arcs, "East Blue Saga".

<i>One Piece</i> season 18 Season of television series

The eighteenth season of the One Piece anime television series was produced by Toei Animation, and directed by Toshinori Fukuzawa, Satoshi Ito, and Tatsuya Nagamine. The season began broadcasting in Japan on Fuji Television from June 26, 2016 to April 2, 2017. Like the rest of the series, it follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates. The season contains three story arcs.

<i>One Piece</i> season 19 Season of television series

The nineteenth season of the One Piece anime television series was produced by Toei Animation, and directed by Toshinori Fukuzawa. <i>Black Clover</i> season 1 Season of television series

The first season of the Black Clover anime television series was directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and produced by Pierrot. The season adapts the first nine volumes of Yūki Tabata's manga series of the same name, with the exception of episode 13 and episode 29 (recap). It follows the first adventures of Asta and the Black Bulls in the Clover Kingdom. After Asta receives a grimoire and joins the Black Bulls to become the new Wizard King, he explores a dungeon and meets Mars, a magic knight from the Diamond Kingdom. Shortly afterwards, Asta is captured during a zombie invasion of the capital by a group of rogue mages who are working for the Eye of the Midnight Sun squad. After Asta is rescued, he teams up with a fellow Black Bull and later on his captain to battle some child kidnappers. Later on, the Black Bulls travel to the Underwater Temple and meet a series of challenges to find a magic stone.

<i>Black Clover</i> season 2 Season of television series

The second season of the Black Clover anime TV series was directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and produced by Pierrot. The season adapts Yūki Tabata's manga series of the same name from the rest of the 9th volume to the 17th volume, with the exception of episodes 55 and 56, episode 66 (recap), episode 82, and episodes 85 and 86 (filler). The first 14 episodes focus on the Black Bulls as they enter the Forest of Witches and help heal Asta's arms, which were injured from his battle with the Eye of the Midnight Sun.

<i>Dream 9 Toriko x One Piece x Dragon Ball Z Super Collaboration Special!!</i> 2013 film directed by Mitsuo Hashimoto

Dream 9 Toriko x One Piece x Dragon Ball Z Super Collaboration Special is an animated crossover television special which aired on April 7, 2013, on Fuji TV. It was made to commemorate the start of the third year of the Toriko anime, which premiered in April 2011, and it features characters from Dragon Ball Z, One Piece and Toriko. The special consists of two episodes which aired together: Episode 99 of Toriko, "Run, Strongest Team! Toriko, Luffy, and Goku!" (走れ最強軍団!トリコとルフィと悟空!), and episode 590 of One Piece, "History’s Strongest Collaboration Vs. Glutton of the Sea" (史上最強コラボVS海の大食漢).

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai was adapted into a forty-six episode anime series by Toei Animation and aired on TBS from October 17, 1991 to September 24, 1992. Despite no official Japanese DVD release, the show reran in 2007 on Toei's channel with a new master. The series uses two pieces of theme music, both composed by Koichi Sugiyama and performed by Jiro Dan. "Hurry, Heroes!!" is used for the opening theme, while "My Road, My Journey", which was the original ending theme for Dragon Quest II, is used for the episodes' ending theme. The series adapts the events of the first 10 volumes of the manga, with initial plans to continue onward until scheduling and time slot changes at TBS lead to the series ending after 46 episodes. To accommodate the abrupt ending, Sanjo helped to provide an adjusted finale to the anime.
