Municipal elections in France

Municipal elections in France allow the people to elect members of the City Council in each commune. These are called conseillers municipaux. They elect the mayor, who chairs the city council, as well as Deputies to the Mayor. The term of office of councilors, the mayor and his deputies is, in principle, six years.

The electoral system of Turkey varies for general, presidential and local elections that take place in Turkey every five years. 2020 Paris municipal election

Municipal elections took place in Paris on 15 March 2020, alongside other French municipal elections. The second round, which was originally scheduled to be held on 22 March 2020, was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in France. The second round then took place on 28 June 2020, which saw Anne Hidalgo re-elected as Mayor of Paris.
