The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) is a men's professional basketball league in the Philippines composed of twelve company-branded franchised teams. Founded in 1975, it is the first professional basketball league in Asia and is the second-oldest continuously operating professional basketball league in the world after North America's NBA.

The 40 Greatest Players in Philippine Basketball Association History is a set of players chosen in 2000 and 2015 to commemorate the founding of the Philippine Basketball Association.

The Philippine Basketball Association Most Valuable Player (MVP) is an annual Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) award given since the start of the league in 1975 to the best performing player of the season. The award is decided using criteria introduced since the 2011–12 season, which include accumulated statistical points, votes from media, players and the league's Commissioner's Office. The current holder of the award is June Mar Fajardo.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Cuneta Astrodome</span> Indoor sporting arena in Pasay, Philippines

The Cuneta Astrodome, also known as the Pasay Astrodome, and the Astrodome is an indoor arena that is located in Pasay, Philippines. The arena has hosted Philippine Basketball Association games from 1993 to 1999 and again from 2001 onwards, and also currently serves as the home arena of the Pasay Voyagers of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. It also became the home of the now-defunct Philippine Super Liga from 2014 to 2018. It has also hosted a slew of other political, evangelical gatherings and church anniversaries.

Daniel Charles Yadao Seigle is a Filipino-American basketball coach and former professional basketball player. He is the former head of basketball operations of the De La Salle Green Archers men's basketball team and a team consultant for the San Miguel Alab Pilipinas of the ASEAN Basketball League. He last played for the TNT KaTropa of the Philippine Basketball Association. He won the 1999 PBA Rookie of the Year and led San Miguel to six championships during his career. He is also a two-time member of the Philippine national basketball team.

Basketball is the most popular sport in the Philippines, played on both the amateur and professional levels.

Hector Calma is a Filipino former professional basketball player. At 5 feet and 8 inches, he played at the point guard position and was most notably associated with the San Miguel Beer team of the Philippine Basketball Association.

The Philippine Basketball Association draft is an annual event dating back to 1985 in which the twelve teams from the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) can draft players who are eligible and wish to join the league. The draft usually takes place between October and December, during the league's off-season. No player may sign with the PBA until he has been eligible for at least one draft.

This is the all-time Philippine Basketball Association team standings, which includes all of the teams that participated. Standings are accurate as of the 2023–24 PBA season. Regarded as an all-time great in Philippine basketball, he was named one of the Philippine Basketball Association's 40 Greatest Players.

The Ynares Sports Arena is an indoor arena located in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines. The stadium has hosted the basketball games of the Philippine Basketball Association, Philippine Basketball League, and Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League, as well as college basketball tournaments. The arena was built in the former location of Rizal's provincial capitol, just nearby the location of former Rizal Provincial Jail Facility.

The 2017–18 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup finals was the best-of-7 championship series of the 2017–18 PBA Philippine Cup and the conclusion of the conference's playoffs. The San Miguel Beermen and the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok competed for the 40th Philippine Cup championship and the 122nd overall championship contested by the league. San Miguel won the series in 5 games to be the first team in history to win four straight Philippine Cup titles.

The 2021 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup finals was a best-of-7 championship series of the 2021 PBA Philippine Cup, and the conclusion of the conference's playoffs. The TNT Tropang Giga and the Magnolia Pambansang Manok Hotshots competed for the 43rd Philippine Cup championship and the 129th overall championship contested by the league.
